..I predict after this sunday, Dallas will be marked as in the hunt.

Few teams are on the 5-6 bubble. So yes, anything is possible.

Ok guys I’ll try again  . For some of the dreamers, go through all the realistic scenarios with wins and losses and tell us why we should believe with you that there’s a chance we can still make the playoffs.

Like I used to tell my staff and players....If you don't believe, you don't belong.

Making the playoffs is a crazy scenario. Almost a Loss/Loss/Win outcome. (unless it includes a miracle Nick Foles type run in the playoffs)

Cowboys make it, Lose in the first or second round. Low draft pick, McCarthy gets to come back next season.

Cowboys (somehow, and doubtfully win the SB or make it to the SB) Now we have a Dak gtd money issue and QB problem with Rush leading the team better.

Cowboys win the SB and we don't care what happens next season because we won it all finally.

Although I think it will unravel in a couple of weeks, it has to do with that seventh spot and the fact that the team we beat last week holds it at 7-5. That means we are just two games back with the tiebreaker edge. Now, there are three other teams with 5 losses (two division leaders) and three with 6 losses, so Dallas would likely have to win out and all of those teams would have to lose a couple of games at least. Them losing is probable because those teams have shown that they are flawed and can be beaten. Unfortunately, we have too, so the likelihood of us winning out or even just losing one game doesn't seem high. ... But there's a chance, and as long as there's a chance, some fans are going to be holding on to that tight.

I don't knock those who want to believe because that's where their fanship takes them. I'm just enjoying the victories where we get them and have no expectations beyond that.

You shouldn't. Just try to enjoy the games.

Win and be happy they could possibly make a wild card spot.
Lose and take solace knowing they better their draft position.

Wait another 2 weeks before getting excited about possibly making playoffs.

rush is playing better each week, and team has shown some intensity and desire to win.
Butler has outplayed diggs big time, but diggs will be back , and be avg .
line is better without martin. but he may be back.

The NFC North has 3 teams with 9 or more wins and they play each other (guaranteeing one of them wins).

In order for Dallas to make the playoffs, they can only get the last seed and have to catch Washington with no one else getting hot. The odds of this are ridiculously low.
well wash may lose some more, without jayden running alot, he seems avg, and they are not scoring enough td's.
they can catch wash if they can keep winning.

This below if we win a SB somewhere soon in the future. I would not care if we suck for a few years after. Been so long I would take that no problem. I am not getting any younger.

It doesn't really matter. Cowboys have to win out to make the playoffs. I don't see them beating the Eagles. In order for them to make the playoffs at 9-8, there would have to be a lot of big upsets. Nothing realistic outside of 10-7.

Almost no upsets would be required to get in at 9-8 with a loss to the Eagles. The biggest longshot (by 1000 miles) is the Cowboys going 4-1 down the stretch.

Two of the most likely wild card teams (TB/Wash) would lose to Dallas in that scenario. The NFC west all play each other and some other good teams. Only Wash is more than a game up.

I did it by giving Dallas all wins to finish 10-7, they still missed the playoffs.

The teams that need to lose are Arizona and Seattle.

When I readjusted just one more loss for each, not together, but separately, Dallas made the 7th seed. But that is with Dallas going perfect.

When Dallas lost to Atlanta that was the game that doomed their playoff chances.

Dallas will not make the playoffs.

Don't count the Niners out yet.

Tbh, there is a good chance we can win out. But we would need help making the playoffs and one upset win from us.
