Pittsburgh knocked off the Bengals so at 4-8 next week Cincy might be inclined to mix up its roster play some young players look to the future . They have no playoff hope

Or their coach will do anything it takes to win as he may well be performing for his current job or the next one. Top notch receivers wanting to play as they’re looking for a big payday. A quarterback with a struggling team that is, nonetheless, having any MVP type year. An entire defense that obviously has something to prove, individually and collectively.

Maybe you’re right. Perhaps they’ll be inclined to play some young players. When fans are looking for cheap wins it’s more pathetic than fans preferring to lose to improve the team’s draft position.

If yall really think after watching the Bengals offense , and our offense that we stand a chance at winning this game, you're the type of fan that keeps Jerry saying dumb things like "we are still in it"

We are gonna get embarrassed in the most embarrassing way, on national TV, and everyone will realize Dak wasn't lying.

We Suck

Regardless of who the QB is.

If i’m the Bengals Taylor comes back next year . You’re right though coaches & players playing for jobs , That’s why I don’t buy the Cowboys tanking . Too much at stake individually

One of the things I find entertaining about our forum is the “feast or famine” aspect of how fans view things. We either suck so bad we will never win another game again or we‘re on the verge of a great playoff run. Never seems to be anything in between.

My opinions: Is this the worst team in the league? No. Not close. Bottom half? Probably. Playoff team? No. Maybe the 18th-24th ”best” team is probably about right IMO.

But…the bottom line is none of us know what this team is until all the games anre played. Enjoy the ride.

I'm not talking about Cowboys upsets. I'm saying we don't make the playoffs at 9-8.
And I'm saying, should they end up 9-8, there's a fairly good chance that they would make the playoffs. Most likely it would depend on Washington and what they'd do against Philly and Atlanta.

Who expects a win in Philly ? Philly could still be playing for the one seed .

It looks as though the Commanders or Packers would have to lose 3 of their last 4 games for the Cowboys to get in.

Of course, the Cowboys would have to win out, defeating the Eagles, Commanders and Bucs along the way.

Highly improbable to the point of being exponentially fractional.

Still......

Commanders Packers Vikings …WC . Cowboys picking at around 13 round 1. Right around where the 49ers will be picking

if the 7 seed has 10 wins it's over. that's 2 more wins for the commanders.

it all comes down to the commanders going on a freefall and the cowboys somehow winning 4 or 5 of 5.

Honest question:
Do you want to squeak into the playoffs to get blown out in the first round?
If the choice is get in the playoffs, lose, and draft 20, or miss the playoffs and draft 18, I’ll take the playoffs.

Jerry isn’t changing win or lose. Sure maybe a new HC, but it will just be the same type of yes man. But he’s not bringing in better free agents, he’ll keep the same draft philosophy, and he’ll keep control of everything. Knowing that, I’d rather keep watching as long as possible.

I also want Jerry to be reminded of how stupid it was to give Dak a huge deal. There’s no better way to do that than to win with someone not named Prescott

All they have to do is beat the Saints and Falcons.

The Titans no show today pretty much looks like Quinn gets a playoff berth yr one .
Naw. Commanders have a tough stretch and could lose the next 3 games. If they lose to the Falcons, they will lose tiebreakers to whichever team that don’t win the NFC South.

In order for the Cowboys to make it interesting, they have to win the next two games while the Commanders lose to the Saints after their bye.
