Playing that team on the road, late January in Philly isnt a good scenario IMO. Could be a major weather game.
which would probably help us since Andy Reid refuses to run the ball.

This may sound crazy but I prefer the cowboys to play the eagles in philly because the loss would hurt more to eagles fans.

we can thank chicago. the only scenario that scared me deeply was playing the eagles in back to back weeks but having to go to philly to do it. not that we can't win in philly again, but i felt like losing to them here and then having to go there in consecutive weeks would be a lot to overcome. thanks to the bears win, that scenario is not possible.

that being said, we know how beating a team three times in one year goes around here, so I'm really hoping the Giants man up tomorrow and help us out.

But if we lose, I have a lot of confidence that we could go to zona or Minny and get a win, and then it would be saints part two. would be a tall order, but they look vulnerable.

hopefully we win and get the bye or green bay at home.

playing philly two weeks in a row would suck, but at least we would be home.

too much has to happened for us to get a bye so throw it out your mind

a win, a packers win, and a giants win is too much? say what? you do remember that even more things had to happen for philly to get in the playoffs in week 17 last year, and it did.....right?

Let's not be greedy, we are already in now let's just focus on getting a WIN in the playoffs and go from there.

i'm not being greedy. and i'm certainly not even expecting a bye. but to deem it an impossibilty is silly. it could very easily happen.

What is the motivation factor for the Giants to beat the Vikings? Giants know they are already OUT and that the Vikings are already IN. So I doubt if you see any agression by the Giants to beat the Vikings. I don't think they will be saying-"Let's beat them so they can get a lower seed"

the chance to play spoiler, and to save face from the egg they laid last week. do you even watch NFL football? the unexpected happens every week. did you expect the bucs to beat the saints? what was their motivation? i have seen crazier things happen in this league than what dallas getting a bye would amount to.

Some players won't be motivated, but others will be by pride after being blown out at home.

Fortunately, Brandon Jacobs isn't playing, because I could see that punk laying down just because it might hurt Dallas.

What happens if none of these scenarios pan out?

Exactly.....this is an icomplete list

I want to see all the scenarios for if certain games end in ties :)

What scenario is left out? There are only 3 games that matter. That means there are only 8 possible combinations. The only word I did not use was ties.

Find me one other possible scenario than these eight. I promise you there isn't one.

That makes 2 of us....I was just adding to his sarcasm.

Just thought I would throw in the .00001% chance on different scenarios involving ties.

This is the only scenario that should matter right now to all Cowboys fans

1. Beating the Eagles so we can stop them from getting a BYE and play them again in Dallas next week.

I don't care about anything else until i see a Cowboys Win at the end of the day

I am unsticking this thread so we don't have too many. If it falls off page 1 it falls. Hopefully we all have the possibilities locked in our minds.

So scenarios 1, 2, 5 and 8 look like they're out. Scenarios 3 and 4 include playing Philly back to back, albeit in Dallas. Scenarios 6 and 7, we're the 6th seed. Thanks Giants!!!

I'm torn as to whether I want to play Philly back to back or the Vikes on the road. The Vikings look good today, but part of that is the Giants rolling over.
