Will is just an overly glorified talent scout. If he’s totally responsible for drafts this era he’s had more than enough misses especially on defense with several top picks.

He would have been fired as a GM with Cowboys record this era anywhere else.

Cowboys are still up there if we include our glorious championships era but this thread is about illustrating how we have performed in 21st Century and how far our beloved franchise has fallen this era under Jethro Jone$.

The only one I'm aware of is Tim MacMahon who swiftly got assigned to covering the NBA.
 
3 seasons ago we had our worst defense going all the way back to the very beginning in 1960. Now we're all looking at the defense as being our strongest unit that will probably have to carry us. That's a big difference

Since McCarthy has been here, our offense has learned how to still function when we have multiple injuries. Before it became totally useless whenever Tyron missed a game.

Dang I feel like y'all need a pep talk. Unfortunately I'm not the guy who knows how to do it.

My olds buds Galloway and Hansen , the two biggest sports personality of this era did for 30 years. Charlie Waters and Drew Pearson did for decades in their radio show and why most felt Drew was held out of being inducted in ROH. Jean Jacque, Cowlishaw, Hill and others in Dallas papers. Just off the top of my head. There are others.

Cowboys ownership especially Jethro is continually criticized for his ways in running Cowboys Football and continues to be the most hated sports personality in DFW area.

These last couple years have been improved. Let’s hope it doesn’t fizzle out like a couple other hopeful runs this era but this thread is about measuring the results for 21st Century.

And until those results improve in 21st Century playoffs we are in the bottom half of the NFL overall in playoff wins.

Only 6 teams I counted without a conference championship appearance this era. Dallas , Detroit, Cleveland , Houston, Jacksonville & NYJ.

I missed a couple more . Wash and Mia haven’t made a champ game this era.

Well we can't win all 26 playoff games in 1 season.
I'm betting next draft will focus more on the offensive side of things.
 
If our first 35 years were more like our last 27 years we wouldn't be the iconic brand our former eras have provided.

There’s no problem with supporting a bottom tier franchise. Cowboys are my local team and I’ll always follow and root them on. But it’s far past time we let go of our Americas Team label which Landry warned would place a target on our backs.

And it is wayyyyyyy past time we let go of our most popular and top revenue status. It feels like we have become like the corner street broad with just the best pimp on the block.

The record revenue just provides him the luxury of continuing his ways.

Unfortunately it sends him the wrong message the fans approve of him.

Normally if patrons aren’t happy with the owner or product they don’t spend or at least limit the money they spend with them.
