This is about evaluating the playoff success in 21st Century. You’re welcome to start a thread on our glorious championship eras.
Bills have 0 Super Bowl wins in 21st century and 20th century. Holy Cookie Gilchrist.

Start a thread on it then. I’m not sure why fans even come in a thread they aren’t interested in?
You know the drill DieHard.
There's a panel of 5 or 10 self appointed positive post filter guys assigned. They work the Zone door like a bouncer at the night club. If your post doesn't meet their positive post id requirements then you are either a hater, have a poor personal life or an Eagles fan and not allowed in their club.

I find it very interesting & humiliating all at the same time.

I think we've actually changed a lot of the very things that have kept us satisfied with clinging to the small victories. I'm just not stuck on the "It has to all be fixed this year or else" mindset.

It doesn’t . But we’d like to see some current trends moving in a better direction in the playoffs.

Despite these last two seasons improved regular seasons and what appears to be some better coaching and personnel decisions it hasn’t resulted in better playoff results which is fair game for criticism.

This thread also serves as a reminder for the lack of success this era in the playoffs. Some fans can’t handle the truth. Let’s hope it changes.

I wasn't thrilled when McCarthy was named as our new coach. His first year didn't help, but I've seen a big change in the overall direction of the team since he's been here. The culture is different.

I make fun of how secretive McCarthy likes to be about everything, but he's even managed to get Jerry to keep some things behind closed doors.

All of that is great. I see some of the improvements as well. But if it doesn’t result in more playoff wins, etc I’m not sure most will care.

Somebody... Even a well respected mod here even, has a meme titled "Respect is earned in the Playoffs."

This OP shows such a lack of respect for that, geez.
I mean just look at the regular season win percentage and annual Forbes team value rankings.

NOW you're talking.
Cowboys!
Lol. Sad but true.

Fair enough. We've been 2nd to 3rd tier for way too long. I can see that a lot of hardcore fans are at the point where any upbeat comments seem like platitudes.
The thing is a few of those slivers of hope are real. We still have a ways to go before we get back to being respected. I'm sure we'll still hit a few more potholes, but I think we're finally on the right road.

That’s all fine. Im not trying to shoot down your hope. Most of us have some level of hope.

This to me is simply more about reflection of this eras results. It doesn’t mean it will continue.

But I think it’s important to understand and recognize the historic significance.

Well the historical significance is that we basically were a lousy team for 26 years. Maybe I'm just gullible, but I think that's finally changing.

That's their problem, and for the Bills fans to hold their ownership accountable.

Even if the Cowboys had the worst history of any team I would still demand excellence otherwise what's the point?

"Don't ask questions. Just consume product and get excited for next product." - does not work for me. Sports are a competition. If you just want to be entertained then go play video games.

My olds buds Galloway and Hansen , the two biggest sports personality of this era did for 30 years. Charlie Waters and Drew Pearson did for decades in their radio show and why most felt Drew was held out of being inducted in ROH. Jean Jacque, Cowlishaw, Hill and others in Dallas papers. Just off the top of my head. There are others.

Cowboys ownership especially Jethro is continually criticized for his ways in running Cowboys Football and continues to be the most hated sports personality in DFW area.
Yeah that's a load of crap. He has had it easy in Dallas. Check his next press conference. You won't hear a single question about it.

Let him try this with a northeast team and he'd have real fear for his own safety instead of a bunch of morons chanting his name in training camp every summer.

You really should read the local papers and even listen to some of the local radio shows. You’re missing all the criticism.

Obviously you’re only exposing yourself to the PC and national coverage. Since you’re on Twitter I’d suggest following some of the local sports writers and personalities if you’re not willing to pay for access to local papers.

But yes some of the locals at PC like Mickey and David Moore who work for Silver Star network do pander to Jethro for more access. It is disgusting .

Change your team or change your expectations. As long as skelator and his son are running things theres a good chance they will be competitive and also a good chance the streak will continue. Its about the journey if it upsets you so much that you are in countless threads talking about it then theres a good chance you should get some tums or change your team. its just what it is we had a good 70s and a good 90s we will se what happens next.

The truth hurts. And when we have to use accomplishments from three decades ago for bragging points, it’s sad. I guarantee you our owner wants all Cowboys fans to have the same attitude many on this thread have expressed. “Look at how many SBs we’ve won”.

But the truth is, the Cowboys haven’t been playoff relevant since my 39 year old son was in 7th grade. The last time the Cowboys won a divisional playoff game, Dak Prescott was 2 years old. The majority of our roster wasn’t even born the last time the Cowboys played in an NFC championship game.

Someday we will win another championship. I can’t wait until we win even another divisional playoff game. I will celebrate. But I will also remember why it took us so long.

The truth hurts.
