How about playoff wins since 1960, or say 1966, how about since 1970.

Oh, let’s go 2020 since MM took over.
30 years ago I used to win Michigan Mountain Bike races. Good times.

Now? Well it's embarrassing. Just straight up fact.

I can't refresh my age like Jerry can his team. You;d think he'd be better at it than me.

The truth hurts. And when we have to use accomplishments from three decades ago for bragging points, it’s sad. I guarantee you our owner wants all Cowboys fans to have the same attitude many on this thread have expressed. “Look at how many SBs we’ve won”.

But the truth is, the Cowboys haven’t been playoff relevant since my 39 year old son was in 7th grade. The last time the Cowboys won a divisional playoff game, Dak Prescott was 2 years old. The majority of our roster wasn’t even born the last time the Cowboys played in an NFC championship game.

Someday we will win another championship. I can’t wait until we win even another divisional playoff game. I will celebrate. But I will also remember why it took us so long.

The truth hurts.

Hopefully we'll both be alive by then. Cubs and Red Sox fans waited 100 years. lol I get a kick of fans bringing up those SB titles . . The Eagles won 3 titles before the SB era and the Browns and Lions dominated in the 50's. They say those were in the dark ages. Well those SB years are too. Nobody except Cowboy fans who feel the need to defend the current ownership cares about that anymore. They care about now. The Patriots didn't have any SB titles the last time we won it and the Ravens weren't even born.

You know the drill DieHard.
There's a panel of 5 or 10 self appointed positive post filter guys assigned. They work the Zone door like a bouncer at the night club. If your post doesn't meet their positive post id requirements then you are either a hater, have a poor personal life or an Eagles fan and not allowed in their club.
It's really funny to watch how this pretty neutral data sends the polly-positivities into uber defense mode. The only data more neutral, IMO is to look at it since the league had 32 teams. That would be 2002 when the Texans joined. Oh look, they're tied with us even without the extra 2 years, lol.

I think a lot here identify with the team so much that they just can't digest anything but positive for fear of that it reflects poorly on them for supporting something that's not a winner all the time. No surprise that a good chunk of that bunch are conspiracy loons calling out how we're victims of Goodell and his minion refs with their dark room meetings to plot against us. Lol. Defense mechanisms fueled by fear. Have at it. I look at it for the entertainment. Hopefully I live to see another winner.

Yep,
With my military background, I just can't stand the feeble attempts at trying to regulate opinions. Personally attacking the freedom to respond in any way that someone chooses to express their opinion is a hard fought freedom I stand for. If I don't agree with the opinion I'll either state my disagreement or ignore it altogether.

Your defense mechanism remark is spot on. A bunch of 12year olds who can't handle being lumped in with rooting for a non winning team because they're scared of criticism.

My ig list of those types has become a lengthy one.

Neither were a lot of the Cowboys players.

Will is just an overly glorified talent scout. If he’s totally responsible for drafts this era he’s had more than enough misses especially on defense with several top picks.

He would have been fired as a GM with Cowboys record this era anywhere else.
Of course there were misses. Every single team has huge misses every year. It’s about having more hits. The Cowboys problem is an unwillingness to be active in FA because of they”we like our guys mentally” but that doesn’t work anymore. You can’t ignore 1/3 of team building and expect to win.

At this point the best we can hope for is just a lucky year where we get a lot of breaks and the team on the field wills their way to a Super Bowl.

Then the Jones' boys can pat themselves on their backs as if they've held the recipe for success this whole time.

That would be 23rd of the 32 teams. Tied with the damn Texans. Only 5 teams with less wins.

There are many on this website who would delight in arguing those points. We have done very well in the recent past, despite the lazy and very clumsy management provided by this team's front office. Unfortunately, we'll likely never know what might occur if McClay were promoted to GM and allowed to call the shots, free of being overridden by an incompetent FO.

given Jerry will be around at least a few more years. then salary cap spreadsheet master Stephen taking over, perhaps another 25 years. so we are looking at at least 50+ years of same thing. or worse.

I really don’t believe Son is going to operate in the same manner as Daddy.

Most of all he’s going to have 2 equal partner siblings to answer to.
