Please do not try and defend Romo today

you dont really believe this do you?

we couldnt stop crap...it doesnt matter if the team has to go the length of the field or 10 yds...we cant stop anybody...the Lions had a scab team like roster today and came in our place and kicked our rear ends...

its pathetic

David

They sure didn't help.

I think it would have been funny to see "how much worse Bledsoe makes our line look" had he put those numbers up today. People's reactions are hilarious.

Bledsoe didn't get that excuse, why should Romo?

He did, but in todays NFL you HAVE to have some mobility. He is a yesteryear QB.

I like Romo he has been a very good QB, and todays loss was the entire teams fault. But please I am seeing in threads Romo played great and it wasnt his faut etc, I call BS

INT put Detroit on our own 28

4 fumbles 2 lost one of them giving Detroit the ball on the Dallas 13

Romo deserves plenty of blame for todays loss
Romo blew more than the other culprits today. He's our man and he's gonna be a great one but he blew today.

Maybe you have me mixed up with someone else because I dont attack any players on the tem, Not even TO. This thread isnt attacking anyone either. Maybe you posted in the wrong thread on accident?

when you start off "don't you dare defend *this player* - you know for a fact someone will.

this game romo has some good points and some bad ones. but if his line would give him 1/2 the protection our defense gives the other offense, he could do a lot more than he's doing now.

yes he had a bad game but i'll defend him (as i dare) as our long term answer and NOT knee jerk around and demand nothing but victory week in and week out for my absolution.

The problem is, we are putting Romo in a position where he HAS to win the game for us. I don't think he's ready for that. I thought the QB position for us and especially Romo was "game managment". He's capable of leading a comeback victory, but not every freaking week.

Anytime you turn the ball over in droves, you're likely going to lose.

And Romo was to blame as anyone for the loss today.

However, losing is a team effort, not an individual one.

We stop the Lions, and we're likely not throwing deep from our own territory.

Furthermore, Romo is still young. That's why I'm more patient with him.

He has grown up extremely quickly these past 10 games, and he has more growing to do. I like what I've seen given the fact we have a defense that can't stop anyone and offensive linemen who are old and stuck in the mud.

Despite today's game, he's a keeper.

The defense is awful and Romo did them no favors by giving them short fields to defend on three separate occsaions and killing other drives with craptastic passes. This was a disappointing day for him regardless of quarterback rating especially against the Lions defense. Dreadful.

Romo has not looked good at all this month.

neither has our OL.

wonder if there's a connection.

Blaming Romo makes as much sense as blaming Ware because he had only 3 sacks.

people w/agendas don't see bumps in the road as growing pains, they view it as a roadmap to get a player they don't like outta here.

sad.

I definitely wouldn't say that Romo played great, but I don't think he deserves too much blame for the loss. The only really bad plays were the fumble in Detroit territory in the beginning of the 3rd quarter and the INT. Even on the INT, Witten was illegally bumped and there should've been a flag. And hey, it's not like no QB's ever throw an INT in their own territory.

3 of the fumbles were due to poor pass protection and in the end, he brought more to the table than he took away. And if we can hold freaking Detroit to 30 points, we win the game.

Thank you for putting words in my mouth exactly where did you get that quote from? I actually said "Please do not try and defend Romo today"

Big Difference

And I knew people already were defending his poor performance which is why I made the thread. I even mentioned he had been a very good QB and the whole team was at fault

Yet he fumbled 4 times and threw an INT and it wasnt on the line everytime was it?

Where did I demand victory? Hell where did I demand anything? I simply said he deserves some blame just as the rest of the team does. Ice your a good guy, but read what I actually type instead of putting words in my mouth please. I didnt attack any player ( I never do ) yet your suto instinct was to go on the offensive because I dared place any blame at all on Romo

Romo...continually having to run around to make plays because we have an o-line that is letting fewer rushers in than we have blockers....yet the blame is on him? Short sighted to be sure.

Why were we even IN the game to begin with? Romo.

Lost it at the line on offense. Lost it in the backfield on defense.

I love it. The OL was not to blame for bledsoe sucking, but it is to blame for Romo sucking.

Yes, we have a suck*** OL. But Romo has done more than his part to kill the high this team was riding on a month and a half ago.

Wait now I have an agenda because I dared to place a piece of the blame on Romo as well as the other players? :laugh2:

I like Romo as I said in the initial post, and you could ask CBZ how comfortable I feel with romo as qb as he and i have discussed it. This is not about liking or disliking anyone

no one has ever said the line didn't hurt bledsoe, did they?

romo did better with it but it still sucks and so does bledsoe. bitter hatred and jealousy his tail is riding the pine and will likely follow BP outta town doesn't help anyone.
