He said in his presser that he likes a ball at exactly 12.5 pounds and that is "the perfect ball" for him.

He then says he never noticed the game balls being 15% lighter than regulation.

These two comments don't make sense. If you cannot tell if a ball is inflated to 13 pounds or if it is at 11 pounds, how the hell do you know you like a ball at 12.5? I mean, he said in his presser that he cant tell the difference between an 11 pound ball and a 13 pound ball, so how does he know that he likes a ball a "exactly 12.5 pounds" as he was quoted as saying several times?

Your honor, the witness is contradicting himself.

a qb can tell the difference between the ball. Those deflated balls (no pun intended) are easier to grib in the rain then a hard ball. If you played qb in high school and up you would know.

They used it as a competitive advantage. NFL needs to make an example out of them. They are repeat offenders and it kind of makes you wonder what else are they doing that they are not getting caught doing? I think they should loose their head coach for a year and their first round draft pick.

Harsh i think not. Imagine the teams that could of won the superbowl or made it to the superbowl if it wasn't for them cheating with the spy-gate and ball-flate and whatever else they are doing.

Draft pick is meaningless
If they knowingly did this then BB and Brady should be banned from the SB

That would be the only fair way
They took away the opportunity of going to the SB unfairly so it should be taken away from them

Every one keeps saying they should lose a draft pick. Like it would hurt them. They move on from good players and still stay at the top.

That was the reason for the dog and pony show today

Tom Shady and Bill Belicheat can deny, deny, deny and some lowly ball boy will take the heat

NFL has already said they are having a hard time proving anyone did anything. The biggest punishment they will face is an historical asterisk next to their sixth Super Bowl appearance.

The ball doesn't weigh 13lbs ... its lbs per square inch.... you think someone could throw a 13 pound ball 70 yards...jeez

Make an example out of them next year with draft picks fines or whatever... it wouldn't of made a difference. This is like when they said they cheated and they subsequently went on destroying every single team all the way to the sb. Yes I know they lost.. the better team doesn't always win.

I'm a believer that all teams or all qb's do this to their advantage, it's just been something that was never brought up before. I also believe that the nfl should have a range, if the ball is within the range everything is hunky dory. Why penalize qb's, let them have that 2lb range and all should be happy.

They do have a range...12.5-13.5 psi is acceptable.

That's only because they're cheating, otherwise they would get blown out every game and go 0-16 every year. Disband the franchise, its the only right thing to do.

It's been brought up before. For years.

NFL has a range.

Patriots went well beyond the range.
