The overall talent level is up but I have to see what the offseason brings. If the injured return and are as productive as most think they would be then we're decent overall. Being cap challenged isn't helping matters; not one little bit.

We have a whole offseason to try to improve the defense. Even a slightly better defense this past season would have gotten us into the playoffs. So we have a whole draft and free agency to try to make the defense slightly better. It's possible. I don't know if it'll happen.

Tony Romo does not need unbreakable metal bones. Many of his teammates and he need Wolverine's healing factor instead. Miles Austin and Sean Lee could have used a double dose of it.

Then again, I do not know if even Logan's mutant ability could help Morris Claiborne at all...

I fear we are in for a tail spin and will waste Romo's career here,there are so many things wrong with this team that you fix one thing (like we did the oline) that the other parts will be still historically bad.

Our arrow is pointing down. Romo is only getting older. JG is still here and still clueless. We need a whole new defensive front seven except for lee. Expect around 8 wins again next season if romo is healthy. That's our ceiling until we get a new coaching staff and new defense. And by that time, we will need a new qb. Once we do that, we will be heading in the right direction. But Jerry just wants to patch holes and stay mediocre instead of building this thing the right way. This is why once we fix one issue, another issue ALWAYS arises. It's because we patch holes instead of just starting over and buying a new pair of freaking pants.

I would say that all those teams had much higher hopes than we have now. The Chiefs, Eagles and Chargers knew that a change in coaching was coming and that the trends in the NFL was a good chance of a quick turnaround. All three of those teams are in the playoffs, and the Commanders are in the same boat these 3 teams were last year, looking forward to a chance of a quick turn around.

What do we have to look forward to? Another 8-8 season, with a trainee and no GM. Cap hell? Bad coordinators?

I honestly hope that somehow Jerry convinces himself that California is the place to be, and he loads up the truck and moves to Beverly. Whoever gets the franchise in LA can perhaps trade franchises with Jerry, and he takes the Cowboys and Jerry takes the L.A. team. Jerry can buy himself a mansion with a cement pond and lots of critters.

The owner is in complete control and admitted the head coach doesn't know what he is doing, he called him in training, which is as bizarre a thing that this maniac has ever said.

The family that owns this team is fat and happy. There is absolutely no reason for them to do anything different. Their offseason task is to sell their incompetence, not fix it.

There is no hope for next year. It does look like a crash and burn year though. That means JG likely fired, some of the loser vets get cut, Romo likely done, etc. Real rebuilding is very possible. Plus Jerry will be older.

The franchise and jerry are doing well financially.......it provides a little entertainment for me...I love football, the cowboys are my team.......

But, I dont expect anything significant on the football field,,,,,they "might" make the playoffs. But even if they do....they are outclassed , year in and year out by the more professionally run organizations....

Seattle, NE, PItt, Indianapolis, Green Bay, niners,eagles,broncos, a few others........

They are what they are. And it's been that way for a long time now. The identity and culture is entrenched into the franchise, coming right from jerry..........and it's not changing........
