8 plus years 1 playoff win. Where is the proven winner?
those other college coaches hav eaero NFL experience...in any capacity and have not coach NFL teams or players. Chip Kelly was supposed to be the super head coach, the innovator who would change the NFL, blah blah blah and he fizzled out really fast....

Jimmy got it done by having great talent along with an owner that could/would spend the most money without a salary cap. That right there is huge.
thats not really true, because back then jerry didnt have billions, he was struggling to pay the bills and loan payments,
when he took over team it was losing money , supposedly a million a day or month, something like that, and the money didnt really
get better till they won a SB.
They had to build the team as cheaply as they could, and that is why the draft picks they got from Minnesota were such a big help.
They aka jimmy drafted very good, and the team was mostly built thru the draft very quickly due to so many picks.
Plus by going 1-15 on purpose, they were drafting # 1 position.
They made some good trades and got players cheaply.

They may have paid above avg for hailey, not sure what he got, and deion came later.

The lack of funds is why jerry didnt want to pay emmit, he wasnt being cheap, money was just tight during that period.
That is also why jerry got started trying to come up with all kinds of ways to make more money, back then he was desperate
for more money, and he just never stopped doing that even after money issues were gone.

That damn salary cap made Jerry have to think and that hasn't worked out well. Didn't work out well for Jimmy in Miami without Jerry's wallet, either.
That wasnt why jimmy failed in miami.
Think about it he didnt have the draft picks like he did with the minn deal, he didnt go 1-15 1st year to draft # 1 the next year, he didnt
have a young good QB like aikman, he had old marino , no emmit, he did build a pretty good defense.
He was older and after winning the 2 SB he had lost intensity. But the whole situation was different.

Had jimmy stayed as HC of miami from what 96 to now dont you think he would have built another great team or 2 ??
I think he would have won several more SB's had he stayed with it.

He had no business coaching if he had lost his intensity.
