Remember this.

The best predictor of future performance is always past performance. Statistically, this is true. While change is inevitable, losing breeds more losing and winning breeds more winning. That's why going into the Playoffs with some momentum is so critical.

And that's why I predict Dallas will lose. Doesn't mean I'm not rooting for them, but I'm being realistic. They will force us to defend Alexander and there will be single coverage on our secondary, and we will get more of what has killed us the last 4 weeks.

Seattle 31 - Dallas 20.

And, yes, I'd love to come back Saturday night and say I was wrong.

Wow...strong words Sarge! I guess short term pain leads to long term gain....I think our OL will help your cause this week. ;)

One playoff win isn't worth it. There is no way this team can make it all the way to the Super Bowl and then win it so I'd rather take the loss, as long as I'm assured Parcells is gone, of course.

As I stated before, I've never had less confidence in a team headed into the playoffs.

It's not a stretch to say our defense is in total disarray against the pass.

We will lose because this team has quit on this coaching staff and apparently has no heart.

If I'm the only one ,I'll accept the challenge.
I've said many times before ; WE PLAY BETTER ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!

We will win this game, and please remember where you heard it.

And on top of that, We will go into Chic. and win.

May not sound logical , but it will come to pass.

OK I haven't been drinking...yet....and I'm not hungover....I did all my drinking during the day and was sober by midnight....

But going on a gut instinct:slob: I've got this feeling Dallas beats the Seahags. 34-30.

And to go one better.....they beat the Bears the following week. 24-17.

Which brings us to losing the championship game in...........Philly.

So how do you fire the coaching staff for losing the NFC title game?

So there!!!!

Ain't it just like The Duke to boldly call it like that!

If we win, Partner, I'll remember that you said we would.

Isn't that the honest to God's truth?

I was more confident in 2003... and the year we lost to the Cards/Plummer, the year we were shut out by the Rams 20-0 and in 1976 when we had no running game.
Yeah.

I had no confidence in that 1985 team (that was ultimately shut out by the Rams) after they were beaten senseless by the Bears and Bengals. I have that same complete lack of confidence this year.

At all other times, dating back to 1969, I had more confidence / optimism heading into the playoffs.

I even was more confident in 1996 during the aftermath of the disturbing M. Irvin-E. Williams scandal story.

Neither team has a very good defense. It’s going to be like the giants game against us. We’ll score, they’ll score, we’ll score, they’ll score…ect. I’m going to go with the Cowboys by a few points.

I feel your pain.

If we haven't made the right adjustments after 4 games of this nonsense (on defense) then I don't expect us to before Saturday.

I was restless in bed and it hit me...

How can a defensive mind like Parcells let this happen? We are not hiding the blitz, we are not making any adjustments, we are not doing anything on defense. We come with the SAME defensive game plan we had for the last 5 weeks and followed it without taking into consideration what the opposing offense is doing.

I refuse to believe Parcells is as inept as everyone makes him out to be.

So what is going on?

Maybe we were not making adjustments because we knew we made into the playoffs. Parcells knows Jones's comments about wanting him back next year. The problem that Parcells has is Zimmer. Zimmer, probably a Jones friend and favorite for years, has been with the organization since before Bill got there. And Parcells wanted to let Zimmer expose himself as inept when it had no bearing on the season whatsoever. This way, Zimmer is fired, there is a reason for firing Zimmer, and he can still say he coached a playoff defense for his next career.

If you take what happened to Bledsoe into consideration. Bledsoe played until Parcells had an excuse which was justifiable to remove him, not listening to Parcells, and making rookie like mistakes in the endzone. During the lions game I saw more Zimmer on the sidelines than i did all season. It was like Bill stood next to him the entire time. Why?

Comments?

We stop the run, Hasselback has a bad game given the weather conditions (45 degree's rain, Winds 10 MPH plus). We win by seven. :D

Wait a second. I'm still hungover from last night. WHAT WAS I THINKING:

I have Dallas winning 31-21.

Look at the draft order once. Dallas is picking after Seattle so color me unimpressed with Seattle's game. 9-7 in the weakest division in football doesn't exactly strike fear in my heart about Dallas' chances.

2003 @Phi 10-36
2003 @Car 10-29

2004 @Phi 7-12

2005: @Sea 10-13
2005: @NYG 10-17
2005: @Was 7-35

2006: NO 17-42
2006: Phi 7-23

When we face a winning team for the second time in a season (we opened the preseason in Seattle), we're 0-8, and we've been outscored 78-207.

Also, Seahawks have played well the last two weeks.

FWIW, if we somehow win, I don't see us losing another game.

So, this meltdown is happening just so we can get rid of Zimmer?

Shaun Alexander missed most of the season. Hasselbeck was out. Jeremy Stevens didn't play until game 7, Darrell Jackson missed 2 games and Deion Branch is still learning the system.

They didn't have their best year......no.....but there was a reason for it and those guys are all back.

Thats stretching it. Our D had issues down the stretch that year too but more importantly it had no chance what-so-ever to score enough points.

At least now theres a chance we could win 35-34 if need be.

it's not about the season anymore.

we're in and it only matters what happens saturday. this team is chock full of talent and anyone who thinks they have no chance of pulling out a win hasn't been watching much nfl football lately.

especially nfc football.

cowboys win.

Alexander hasn't been impressive even when he's played, Stevens can't catch a cold in January...

The bottom line is that Seattle is having some serious OL problems. Hutchinson should have been kept at any cost.

Dallas will score points, it's just a question of how many Seattle scores and I'm betting on 21.
