It's not because I'm just a fan, but it helps.
One main reason is home field advantage. Of all the teams in the NFL, the Seahawks do best at home. They can't win on the road.
Also, the fact that we have 5 legit receivers is nice, especially agaist your defense. Hackett, Jackson, Branch, Burhlson, and Engram can all catch the ball. Not Stevens, but he doesn't get many passes anyway.
If the pass game fails, we can always run it. Alexander may be overrated (I don't know if he is or not) but he can still run, and well. Plus, Mack Strong is still a beast.
Also, throw in post season experience if you submit to that.
Our problem, like yours, will be defense. But our 2 backup CB's aren't terrible compared to the starting 2. I think we will get to Romo a couple of times also, becuase your O-Line isn't good. Peterson and Tatupu will come up with big plays, too.
I still think it will be a high scoring, close game.
You make some good points but here the rebuttal:
Jackson is hurt ( has not played in a few weeks because of a turf toe) and Hackett is questionable with a pulled groin (which you can never predict).
I wouldnt put too much stock in Alexander because he is just the kind of runner that the Cowboys limit in rushing. He has been limited to less than 60 yards rushing the last 5 times he has played Dallas. That includes Zimmer has the DC. Yes we know we are vunerable against the pass but I think we will be able to limit some of your passes by playing more man to man.
Also, you are so wrong about your dbs. You are missing both starters and your backup. You have a rookie starting and please do not say the strong-safety-turned-corner will be able to match up against a Glenn or TO. Boulware (SS) actually was on the bench because of his coverage ability and that practive-squad-guy starting in your nickle coverage is just that, a practice quad guy. He was cut by the Titans and has not played all season. Plus I hear he has a bad attitude and really sucks in coverage. He has Crayton.
Seattle was lucky against Tampa because they simply did not have the players to take advantage of your negatives in your secondary. Dallas can. Romo may have been on a bad streak but he is still a pretty good qb. And his number are wayyy better than hassleback's, whose has almost throw as many ints as he has tds.
Unlike the rest of these guys on this thread I believe the Boys will win simply because we all know they can and have played better than the last few weeks. They can score points quick and they can stop teams with a little pass rush.
Remember also that the score of the Tampa game was 23-7 ( a team we blew out on Thanksgiving) but tampa fumbled in the red zone (they were about to take the lead when the score was 10-7) and then fumbled again on their own 10 yard line (in which you only scored 3 points).
The game was actually closer than the score suggest but I know that is all imute right now. Just giving it all some perpective.
My point is that Dallas is the better team and it still boils down to which team will show up.
Remember, just like Seattle may plan to spread out their offense on us, we too can spread out those reject dbs of yours and move down the field. Actually your linebacker play and the play of our oline will determine how far each team goes.
I like Dallas in this game because I know we are the better team. Playing with a little emotion and fire may make this a blowout! By the Cowboys of course!
