You have always maintained fans can organize and make Jones not do what he has and continues to do. I agree with the idea and desired outcome. What I will always say 'no mas' to is for any discussion that lacks the necessary, serious, intricate, fully planned, nationwide economic and public cooperation that would motivate him into, AT minimum, stepping down as general manager. If and until that happens, I am officially Roberto Durán.

In the end regardless of the impacts on individual details as you have eloquently pointed out the buck still stops with him.

For the record when I initially introduced my campaign to ouster Jethro as GM we were still at Texas Stadium as a large group of long time season tickets holders refusing to buy in to new stadium.

And felt if fans had held out committing to PSL’s it could have forced his hand if there was tens of thousands of empty seats. Unfortunately many of us former season tickets holders were replaced by business and corporate customers who now often broker out their seats and we’ve seen the current climate evolve over the years at AT&T with thousands of opposing fans .

Much has transpired since my early efforts in 2008 including a huge influx of Americans moving into Texas and Metroplex from all over the country bringing their fandom with them often filling the stadium.

I always felt the stadium is where our impact would have made the most impact on him surrendering his stranglehold on football operations at least in name as GM.

Unfortunately I no longer feel it’s possible to deliver due to uncontrollable factors unforeseen 18 years ago despite the overwhelming displeasure of results this era and area fans dissatisfied with his efforts.

It’s a different climate now in the NFL where results no longer drive the interest in fans supporting their local or regional team. It’s become more of a Mecca entertainment entity that plays football which my initial intentions will fall short. And I rarely even mention anymore.

Personally I continue my objections of physical and financial support and share within my closet contacts but those public efforts and campaign are long over realizing they were exhausted years ago.

And I’d add when I say we can still hold him accountable which you quoted and separated I meant in verbally speaking out against him . Not that it will result in my original campaign to ouster as GM.

But we can still hold his feet to the fire and make him publicly respond which he has done. It’s not going to bring the results we are looking for but at least he has to face the scrutiny.

But I bring this up cause some fans want to think he’s not in control over football operations anymore. Like only in name. He certainly wouldn’t admit taking a lesser role so we shouldn’t take our feet off the pedal.

Even the most Teflon proof celebrity’s hate facing public ridicule. And if that’s what our voice has been reduced to I’d encourage.
