Best scene dealing with breaking car windows has to be the Program when Lattimer gets starting defense :D

Anyway, I went with LB because I remain anti-James.

WR is a close 2nd depending on what Wade has in mind, maybe Burnett ILB? I dunno. Either or is cool with me since Woodley still might be there in the 2nd.

So, which position do you want Dallas to draft in the first round?

I don't want them to draft in the 1st round based soley on the position they play, I want them to take the best value, the BPA.

Best value appears to be at WR.

But if a stud RB drops again, I'll be distraught if we pass it up.

Again.

the only stud back in this draft is AD

I chose O-line, but really either line is fine. Another player who can get after the passer would be great.

I am not in favor of ever taking a wide receiver in the first round. There just seem to be too many quality receivers who become stars in this league in the later rounds. I could name scores of first round busts at wide receiver. On the other side, look at the playmakers at wide receiver these days, Steve Smith, Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, etc - none were first round picks.

After the information about Lynch's back problems emerged this week, I concur with your analysis.

Marvin was a first rounder... but yeah.. this draft is kinda different.. since it's hella deep at WR and potential top receivers are slipping simply cause the biggest freak of nature is the easy 1st choice.

my choice is corner. you need talent and athleticism to play that position. the time is now to find a guy to learn the position. i don't even really care if he hardly plays this season.

Give me a CB. A CB takes longer to get ready to play in the NFL than a WR does. We take a CB in the first this draft and we won't be forced to start him right away... can wait till 2008 if there are no CB injuries.

Look at taking a WR in 2008. WR's can make faster transition to the NFL and we'll need new a young, talented, starting caliber WR when Terry Glenn/TO are gone in 08 or 09.

Luckily for us... each position that we could use young talent are all positions that are fairly deep in this draft.

I went with the CB/Safety choice.. although I would throw the plasma outside if we went Safety in the first.. that would make NO SENSE whatsoever. I think we can get a good value at WR in the second maybe even 3rd round.

WR Bigger guy like Bowe not Ginn Jr. or OL Staley or Blalock

Too many of the top rated CB's are under 6' and I dont fancy having 2 starting corners in a years time that cant win a jump ball in the endzone with Burress etc.

I was really torn between defensive back and o-line. But I went with offensive line.

Put me down for Olinemen or WR. I would still like to see them add another quality player to the mix at Oline, especially given Adams is pretty much in a contract year and Colombo has only been starting for 1 year. Probably wont happen.

With Glenn and Owens getting up there in age WR probably makes the most sense with this pick. Meacham looks like the best value at #22 in my opinnion.

Even though its not an option I wouldnt be heartbroken if they added a big NT or a pass rushing DE.

I think its about time we address the wide receiver position. While its true that there has been some non first round gems of late, Dallas doesn't have a history of being able to develop those guys for the most part. I'm hoping that Sherman's addition to the coaching staff will change that. We need a difference maker to learn from Glenn and T.O.

I don't think safety in the first is too high unless its Landry. And I don 't think he'll fall that low. Cornerback would be interesting. But I'm not quite ready to draft a CB in the first.

I'm not sure what inside linebackers are truly worth a first round pick. I also think that Carp was starting to put it together at the end of the year. So I think between Carp and Burnett we should be okay even if Ellis can't come back.

None of the above!

I mean seriously, why on earth would we go defensive again when we just "drafted" a defensive mastermind when we hired Phillips and when we're still so unsure of what we already have, what Wade might already see?

WR? Exactly of what benefit would drafting someone at that position have on this team, here in 2007? With the talent we already have on board, that's totally a pick made for the future. Or worse, one at the cost of the harmony on this team as it inevidably pushes Glenn down a peg and pushes Crayton right off the board. Suddenly "I'm #1" is #3, Crayton's disappeared, and TO is laughing behind closed doors at "Mr. #1".

And lastly, at oline.. who?

RB is the only position that can come right in and turn the tide on this team. To go from mediocre to exceptional at that position, literally overnight, would be the only thing capable of pushing us to that next level, imho.

We need to consider what it will take to take us to that next level, for the depth has already been established. Add in the fact that our 2 wr's are not getting any younger and that our defense and young qb are virtually ready to explode to that next level at any given moment. If we play it like we're still a year or two away, suddenly we're losing TO and Terry, not to mention a handful of other players, and it's like now we need these pieces. We're basically set for a gamebreaking RB to come in and take us over the top. In fact, not much would beable to stop us if we had that final piece of the puzzle, imo. All across the board we would get better due to that one pivotal upgrade.
