That’s actually not very bad news though. If this happens in October it’s an issue, but broken bones heal within a couple months and they heal really well. Your injuries that tend to zap athletes abilities and take 6 months to a year to come back from are often ligaments and tendons.Broken leg in a rb.
Love this^^^The team has a new OC and OL, both run oriented.
Terrible. Beyond stupid.Reports are Zeke is staying
I guessed 12. I like 10.9 way better. Thanks.$10.9M
If they cut him after June 1 I think the savings was $11MM. That is a big number. Like a roster altering number. Not doing it will be the dumbest thing Jerry ever did.Reports are Zeke is staying
66 and realistic and enjoy it when the Cowboys are good. Ben watching since 1965.Great response. I’m old enough to be logical. You?
The dumbest thing was Roy Williams from Texas. If they cut him after June 1 I think the savings was $11MM. That is a big number. Like a roster altering number. Not doing it will be the dumbest thing Jerry ever did.
A procedure/tool a number of NFL teams seem not to use.Why not the transition tag? We need to learn how to measure our players worth as they hit fa. Players that you aren't building a whole team around should be given transition or non exclusive tags so you have the right to match an offer but aren't overpaying.
Whatever they do with Elliott will be expensive. Even a new contract with a pay cut will not be cheap. If they cut him they still have to pay him. Trade him and still pay a big chunk of his check. Add to that a tag price for Pollard and you have a pot full of money tied up in one position with the expectation of little production in 2023.If they keep Zeke and don't extremely lower the cap hit, I'll be very surprised. Frankly, I'm for moving on from Elliott because I think we can get better production from a fresher back.
Yes it is.I guessed 12. I like 10.9 way better. Thanks.
2nd contracts are earned.I think it makes sense to tag him if we draft another back fairly early who can share the load with him this year and take over as the lead back the following year. We need to get into a cycle with these backs instead of giving them big second contracts.
Two years from now, it should be the back we draft this year and a back we draft next year taking on the load. Then continue the cycle.
Zeke is near the end.Whatever they do with Elliott will be expensive. Even a new contract with a pay cut will not be cheap. If they cut him they still have to pay him. I’d be surprised if they use the tag on Tony.Whatever they do with Elliott will be expensive. Even a new contract with a pay cut will not be cheap. If they cut him they still have to pay him. People seem to somehow associate a franchise tag as being a 2nd contract.Y'all are crazy. I'm surprised there is so much pushback in here for a one year tag. He is our most dynamic player on offense. You don't get rid of a great player bc of money allocated in another player (Zeke). You get rid of the washed player. Again, its only a one year commitment. Much more deserving than Schultz's tag.
Would be a horrible mistake not to draft a RB in this deep class even if they keep both Pollard and Zeke.If Pollard is tagged by March, (as expected) ..and Elliott is still on the roster - per pay cut and Jones bias plan, i don't think we will not be looking at any RB
in the early rounds.
McClay's group could even decide to do the 4th round possible Pollard type gem in the mid round . or not even draft a RB despite a supposedly deep RB draft class.
Boy, you really love Participation Trophies don’t yah. While you’re shining your trophy’s you fail to grasp the concept that what you’re saying doesn’t matter: it’s other teams that are playing in the championship games and Super Bowls. And you’re completely ignorant that the regular season and playoffs are 2 completely different animals. They fail in the playoffs because they are not good enough against legit teams. Regular season stats don’t matter, Einstein. We need to get you dna tested - you could be another Jerry Love Child. It would explain a lot. They beat both teams that were in the Super Bowl last year and beat the Eagles who are in the game this year.
They won a playoff game this year. How many of the 32 teams did that? I love a good team and they are a good exciting team. I like where they are at. I like the whole journey. I've been watching since 1965 and I love it.Boy, you really love Participation Trophies don’t yah. I’ll tell you what, Brother. I’ve been watching since 1965 too and you are absolutely right that win, lose, or draw, we are an exciting team to watch. The networks never lose when they feature us. And I’m excited about the new offense next year to go with this defense. Then we just need a good kicker !They won a playoff game this year. How many of the 32 teams did that? We're not winning games because of the running backs , it's a throwin league. Take a look at the last 10 superbowl winners there champ. No one knows who the RB's even were. Facts. 28 years but they get it huh? Go to bed!Oh bs, they won 13 games and were one of the best teams in the league. They get it or they wouldn't be good. Fans are clowns. They have a good team and have a foundation to build another good team in 2023.
