Can this team really trust a guy who had his leg broken for him during the second quarter of the last game of the year?

Dak broke his ankle and it took two off seasons and a full season before he was steady enough to now worry about the ankle.

What makes anyone think you can just plug in Pollard and things will be okay?

And on top of that, he's been tagged and paid a premium price to rehab with nothing guaranteed next season. And sitting behind him on the depth chart are just guys.

It says alot about the break when they were more concerned with the high ankle sprain

The combination of the two can be problematic. I'm sure the team doctors signed off on it.
What was the problem with Dak's leg the year he came back? Do you recall the games he missed because of the ancillary stress which caused thecalf strain?
I love Internet doctors. A broken Fibia is not a broken foot. You can actually walk on it.
Thanks, Doc, for your insight. Good thing you post here.

At least I know the difference between a broken foot and a broken fibula. Lol. Oh that’s right you said he broke his leg. Three strikes you’re out.

Let's be honest, they all can say the right thing(s) but we won't really know until the 1-3 regular season games. See Gallup.......we heard all the right things until he tried to return at a high level but wasn't the same player.

Ignoring the injury, Pollard is at an age when many RB's have a drop-off anyway. Look at Zeke in years 5+. True, Pollard has fewer carries than he might have up until now. But combine his age with the fact that he's a speed pack coming off a significant injury, and you better be concerned.

Dallas has handled this correctly by covering their bases with a vet, and certainly will draft a RB too.

It’s a fibula… it’s an irrelevant break! Stefan Diggs broke his at Maryland, Dez his rookie season, TO with the eagles and played in the SB, Beasley played with it for 2 games in the 2021 playoffs. Dak broke the tibia and fibula, it take roughly 7 1/2 months for the tibia to completely heal… another 3 to 5 physical therapy regaining muscle loss to atrophy. Fibula is a 6 to 8 week break… guessing 6 Pollards age and physical condition! Been there done that… spiral snap of my tibia and fibula 2003!

Yep...cause you need to be in NFL #1 RB shape. Good call.

Dak dislocated his ankle, meaning that ** spinned around. Pollard broke his fibula, not the same injury. C'mon now.

I'm not gonna play an internet doctor like whirlwind is....but this team has had historic troubles dealing with injuries,. Look at what they did to Romo. Zeke was injured and they played him. Dak doesn't seem to be the same. LVE struggling wiht injuries since before Day 1. And how can forget about J. Smith.

The team just isn't very good with it.

I don't know the cause or results of all this....but I am cautious. Not sure whey people feel the need to hammer people for it. Pathetic life, maybe?

You sound ridiculous with your pigeon-holing all injured players with the same limitations. All injuries are not created equally. Not doing your due diligence to discern which players will be ready to participate in training camp is something you seem to excel at. Way to further demonstrate something about yourself that we all already knew... you're a crappy fan. What does having his leg broken for him have to do with anything anyway? It was a dirty play and the league is looking into prohibiting take-downs like that. But you worded that like it affects Pollard's trustworthiness somehow.
