Did you watch Aaron Jones (Packers) play yesterday? THAT is burst. Zeke runs like he has five pounds of cement in each shoe. He just isn’t that good anymore. It is what it is.

Regardless of burst he still he getting hit in the backfield. He needs to be used on zone stretches like he was his rookie year. Those shotgun draw plays are trash.

There's alot to address when it comes to the run game.

1) KM play calling is atrocious when it comes to the run game. He may put a couple decent games together a year.

2) OL has been hit or miss this year in the run game.

3) Zeke is not and never will be his 2016 self.

With that being said absolutely no reason why Pollard & Zeke shouldn't be a top 5(3*) tandem in the league if used correctly. I think the biggest issue lies with KM and his generic play calling.

Also I believe someone broke down the Cincy game showing where we could have huge chunk plays. Didn't look like Zeke was seeing the whole field as there was huge holes to run through a couple times.

I think you let Peters start at LG and get Ferguson in blocking. McGovern FB and you’ll see a big difference.

Also, we need to mix up some runs out on the edges forcing their corners and safeties to tackle. I think the run plays that get called are so vanilla it doesn’t help either.

Even our screens teams just sniff them out but for some reason everyone else seems to run effective screens against us. They also effectively run to the left

We run the same dive play over and over with CD going in motion. Every once in a while you need to give it to CD on the jet sweep or the defense just ignores the motion.

Zeke displayed plenty of burst on that 31 yard catch and run yesterday. I think he still has it but is more judicious in using it now. Which is smart.. as you get older your recovery time elongates so you can't go emptying the tack on every run. I said in the preseason that it was going to be hard for Zeke to change his mindset when running the ball.. WHen he came into the league he hit every run at 100 mph without regard to anything.. Then for the next four years he had "slow down, be patient and let the play develop" hammered into him.. Problem is, now that patience is his enemy because of all the leakage along the front line so he needs to get back to that guy who hit every run at 100 mph. But speaking from experience, that's not an easy thing to do.

I think Peters will be the starting LG next week and going forward.

It's pretty clear that Peter's isn't physically ready to be full time player anywhere. Hopefully its just knocking the rust off and getting in game shape but he struggled quite a bit today. They all did.

But the opponent has some talent on the dline & they were desperate. Makes for a scary opponent.
