fire the coaching staff.

i see 2 personnel options, but you cannot fix everything with a draft.

1. FA defense fixes while draft offensive skill players high. this could sign 2 LBs, 1tech while draft picks wr, rb, ot and G. a 1st round wr stretches the field, while a 2nd/3rd round RB make the team competitive if zeke is suspended or hurt. a 2nd/3rd round ot is needed due to tsmith issues. with many picks, use them to move higher to get what is needed if possible.

2. draft LB/1tech high 1st and 2nd round, and try to get wr and rb in 3rd and 4th round. sign a respectable ot in fa.

my short list so far......
1) hire a GM that can/will be held accountable
2) hire a HC and coordinators that are of caliber
3) continue the youth movement, which unfortunately involves Witten hanging em up and Dez moving on
4) take a calculated risk by spending on one or two blue chip defensive free agents

3. Draft or sign a serious run stopping DT
4. Draft or sign a RT and move Collins back to LG
5. fire coaching staff

Before all that you HAVE to make the right coaching appointment.
Anybody trust Jerry to hire the next Sean Mcvay?
He's more likeky to hire the next Rod Marinelli

I agree it would be hard to fix what ails us in a single offseason without some sort of free agency influx of talent. On the other hand if you are going to go the free agency route, you need to decide if you are going that route and go get them all in one year, if possible because if you aren't going to get any comp picks you might as well get all of your groceries in one year.

We need linebackers and a 1 tech in a really bad way. We had better go get 3 really good linebackers in free agency or the draft. We need them in a bad way.

Stupidly, we are trying to get it done defensively from the outside in, instead of inside out. Why have a guy worth 20 million per year at DE if your guys are so bad inside that your $20 million dollar guy can get double teamed every play? We have to stop reaching in the draft. We reach to fill a hole and then still have a hole after drafting that player.

Draft or spend the money on a guy who can clog the middle inside at the 1 tech, hold the point of attack, collapse the pocket and require a double team and it affects the entire defense. I don't give two ***** if he can rush the passer or not, just find that guy for this defense. Everyone on the defense will benefit from that. We watch our team pass on those guys every ******* year. I prefer a free agent at that position because they are usually reasonably priced, and can contribute immediately.

Dez and Witten need to get gone. They epitomize what is wrong with this organization (albeit for different reasons). We are over paying them for past performance. They don't bring that much to the party, and quite honestly, the coaching staff caters to both of them so as to not hurt their feelings. Get both of them the **** gone, yesterday.

Irving is the one guy I don't really know what to do with. He has talent, no doubt about that. On the other hand he has been suspended and seems to disappear for stretches. I am not even sure what his best position is. Probably backup interior defense on passing downs.

I think you have to give Dak 1-2 more years with a healthy team and competent coaching staff.

OK, but you are never going to have a "healthy team" in today's NFL. Some years are worse than others for injuries, but they really aren't excuses for a QB missing wide open receivers.

Start Rico Gathers to open up the passing game downfield and give Dak an option, because he doesn’t throw that well from the pocket outside the hashes.

Ironic that people complain about Dez’s speed say nothing about Witten... at
least Dez can catch jump balls and go over the top as well as break tackles..

Hard to know what to do when you now have a giant question mark at QB.

Meh, Dak isn't what tempers my expectations.

The only approach that will work is changing the entire thrust of the organization so that it's driven by the Head Coach and a real football guy at GM. Like Landry and Co, Jimmy and Co, Parcells and Co. No more of this "let's hire an offensive coordinator who we hope will one day be the head coach before the head coach, then hire and fire coordinators for him in the hopes of propping up the entire convoluted structure in the hopes that the owner's moves will eventually justify the dysfunction."

Its going to be bigger than the coaching staff. The Jones boys have fingers all across this organization and the organization stinks across the boards, except for when they donate and do their charities, a lot of people need that help.
