If it's after the 3rd round, okay.

I'm with you. He can play football and having the pressure that comes with the star on the side of your helmet will keep his weight in check.

He won't be an out of shape player if he is drafted by this team.

Ion -noun (Physics or Chemistry) one of the electrically charged particles formed in a gas by electric discharge or the like. An electrically charged atom or group of atoms formed by the loss or gain of one or more electrons. Invisible to the naked eye.

Not much better if it is only ions.

The Titans didn't try very hard to keep Haynesworth and for the record, he was 6-6 and weighed 317 pounds coming into the draft, not 6-4 and 370.

the titans don't pay top dollar for FA. he didn't start to be dominate till he got around 350-360, and Cody can easily get to that weight in an NFL conditioning program(if he puts in the work and wants to stay in the league).

if we get a DT in the first 4 rounds were idiots, there is this magical guy named Jay Ratliff with a nice All Pro award for this season, and who with a few more good years will be a hall of famer.

Tell that to Aaron Gibson...

This guy got up to 415 pounds and was forced to cut weight just to be able to play. Fat DTs like Haynesworth, Washington, Rogers, Hampton, etc. actually did something in college; all Cody has done is occupy blockers and sit on the bench 60% of the time. That's not even a 2 down player.

What incentive does he have to play at a healthy weight once he gets that paycheck and has to face NFL quality players?

Those other DT's didn't play in a 3-4 in college.

Cody did his job amazingly well.

Their run D was 48th before Saban.

28th the year before Cody got there.

2nd the two years he was there.

Right. He's a plug up the middle. It sometimes take 3 people to block him and I believe with Cody in the middle and Ratliff and Oglanski on the ends we could have more of a run-stuff and a pass-rush being that Ratliff would be in more one-on-one situations.
