I wish he skipped the combine because I dont think he makes it to 12 now.

They could possibly move up to get him. Give up 12 and 20 for something in the top 10 and high 30s/low 40s in the second round. So a 1 and a 1 for a higher 1 and a high 2. Not sure who their suitor would be but it's a possibility.

I think that is pretty much it. I don't know who they could get in trade, but I would think that it is a possibility. I think they could draft 2 good ones and Wagner on a 1 year deal might be a good move. They very well might draft Allen, they do have his college coach on staff.

I like Rodriguez and you could trade back with either pick, add a 3rd and still get him. I’d love styles but don’t think he’s gonna be there. If Downs, Delane, Styles or a really highly rated edge isn’t there at 12 you could trade back and get a good player late first while adding a pick. I like thieneman and he can be gotten late first, early second, the next tier of CB could be added late first. I’ve wanted Wagner seems like for a decade lol he’s still a goid player that won’t break the bank

Wild we are possibly going dumpster diving at LB in FA and then putting all our eggs into Overshown, James and another draft pick.

Front office drafts two Linebackers with injuries and then gets spooked on ever paying a healthy one cause the Smith re-signing backfired or something.

They paid 7mil in salary to Kenneth Murray last year but couldn't give 8-12 mil aav to Chenal or Singleton, Williams, Edmunds or Elliss

I get not paying top 3 money to a linebacker, but this position is bad and there's little guarantees of landing your first choice in the draft and them actually being an impact player year 1.

Maybe they are waiting for prices to fall. Or they may try to engineer another trade. Teams are calling about Osa. So there's that. There are still some decent guys available...and possibly at the price they paid Murray last year. The fear is that cheap-skating results in poor choices by the time the prices come down to where you want them.

They really dropped the ball on Dean. Hard to understand that one. If you are "busting the budget" then Dean is in the building today...unless he really didn't want to face his old team twice a year.

I think you need 2 lbs, otherwise you are counting on O to stay healthy and Liufau or James to play well. Even then you do not have a lot of depth.

My guess is they now do what they do best.

Sit on their hands and do jack squat and hope to get some bodies for cheap a week from now. Then will tell us that the draft is where they make their improvements. Same as it always is with these guys.

They are clearly not serious about really upgrading the position at this point.

Dam, talk about slim pickings..........can't believe we got totally wiped out at LB when it is the biggest weakness on the entire freaking team.

Old man Bobby Wagner like 40 now, LOL, but I would kick the tires and see if he has anything left in the tank on a 1 yr deal. Not what I had in mind, but it is getting to be desperation time.

He obviously had something left last year. 5th in the NFL in tackles and added 4.5 sacks as well.

Denzel Perryman is just at two-down guy but can still be functional.

The problem with not signing the top LBs is that you now HAVE to draft one, and there's not good value at 20.

Brooks would be a huge get if they could land him! There was a report on day 1 that the Cowboys were looking at two fa linebacker and 1 on the trade market per Bobby Belt. You have to figure those two linebackers were Walker and Dean both signed with the Raiders. Question is, who was the player they were thinking about trading for?

This is pathetic and weak. There was no reason not to secure a top LB before the draft. They probably like what they have In Liafu and Shemar James, which is fine if you're ok with 8-8

They clearly don’t like what they have because they tried to sign both Walker and Dean

Either be prepared to spend the money to get the players you want or have more backup options
