Possibly sign Warrick or Price?

Two things: 1) Vick is a good pocket passer 2) The problem in Atlanta for Vick was that his recievers were dropping a lot of balls.

I'm not sure if Price was part of that problem, but they had big problem w/ that last year. That's why people question if Vick will want to stay in the pocket, because when he throws it they drop the pass.

Vick himself says that has been a weakness he is working on (Throwing from the pocket), fact is no he has not been a good passer in the pocket most plays he makes happen because the play to break down and he improvises with his speed.

I think at one time, I would have jumped for either one of these fellas, but at this point in their careers, I have a hard time looking at them as anything more than competition for Quincy Morgan. Why spend that money on a potential #4 or #5 receiver?

Potential injury scenario?

I'd like to sign another WR to take Morgans spot on the roster and also add some depth.

I understand. He's had a tendency to think run first. But when he does make himself stand in the pocket, I think he does pretty good. That guy has a great arm ... but with is speed, I'm sure it's hard to just stay back there when you know you can run it.

Please.... Vick is not a good passer, he can run better than anyone since Sanders, but he is NOT a good QB. Period.

What I see is a guy who throws off his back foot quite a bit when he is throwing from the pocket and when you do that you tend to sail balls over the WR head and I have seen a lot of that from Vick since he has been in the NFL. Not saying that can't be fixed I know it can but as of yet he still does not look comfortable from the pocket and that can have a major effect on WR as they expect the ball to be there when they come out of their breaks.

We disagree. He's got one of the best arms in the NFL IMO. He's not the 'best' passer but he has the ability to be one of the best.

Prices problem is hes a great #2 receiver, but NEEDS a heavy duty #1 that will demand attention. When you can double Price or make him the focal point of your defense you can rattle him and take him out of his game. In Buff with Moulds Price catches 90+ and was great. Traded to Atlanta and asked to be the man and he can not come through. We dont have the Michael Irvin, TO type receiver he needs to take attention off him. I dunno if a RB can take the pressure off a receiver, Jones, if it could be done, could do it.

I dont see Price exceeding here untill we get the Mike WIlliams, Anquan Bolden First tier top of the line #1 receiver.

PS. Warrick, I just have a bad feeling about him, Something does not sit right when I think about him as a boy. Not sure if its his past, didn't he steal clothes or something while at the U, have acedemic problems?. Then his injuries, has he ever played a full season? I'd pass on Warrick

I would take either Price or Warrick ova Morgan at this point. He just doesn't seem to get it. How could he lose the #3 WR spot, when to begin TC there was such a huge gap between him and Crayton.

I know Warrick can return punts which is something that our #4 WR is gonna have to do play special teams, I'm not sure if Price has any experience with KR or PR.

Price has a little experiance at returns not much at least in the Pros

"Vick is a good pocket passer" now theres a statement that bears statisical scrutiny.

I've watched Vick closely while he was at VaTech as I'm a Big East guy. I thought he was a reach when drafted no.1 because I think a no. 1 should have average NFL accuracy Vick does not.

If Vinny threw 14 TDs and 12 INTs in a season he'd be benched or cut. Of course if Vinny ran for 906 yds last year he'd be 1/2 a very good running back.We have JJ for that....
Vick is human highlight film for Sportscenter...he also is a fraud as an NFL QB.

A speed WR like Peerless Price need a Qb who will stay in the pocket to maintain the angles the downfield pattern was designed to create.

I can't get over the obsession with mobility from some Cowboy fans in the wake of Troy's last 4 yrs.Troy's first 8 years made Irvin a HOF'er.

Price was a perfect fit for Bledsoe in Buffalo and he's worth a roster slot here.

Price w/ Bledsoe:
rec yds avg long TDs ovr20 ovr40
2001 Buffalo Bills 16 16 55 895 16.3 70 7 16 4
2002 Buffalo Bills 16 16 94 1252 13.3 73 9 16 6
