Check out Mars in the southern skies. It's huge and bright. And orange. Closest it's been to earth in 15 years.

We had an open house (actually an open observatory) last Saturday so the general public could look at Mars (and other stuff) through our large telescopes.

Our dome is up on a 30' high tower. We were projecting the movie Mars Attacks on the said of the tower. Most visitors found that funny. Many stayed and watched the movie too.
