on this date...Oct 27,1976...Elvis performed at The Southern Illinois University Arena in Carbondale,Illinois.
the tour earned Elvis and his group $1,005,000 in profits.
not bad....nice work if you can get it.

The first ticker tape parade was on 28th October 1886, when office workers in New York, spontaneously threw ticker tape from windows, during the dedication parade for The Statue of Liberty. (I meant to post this yesterday and forgot).
