Every week its something.

GB - Season on the line.

NY - Divisional rival on the road.

SD - Top team in football.

Because they like making excuses for why this team chokes... But they are the same people who say this team is so "talented"

I think this team is talented, but I dont make excuses for the losses. One has nothing to do with the other.

I'm still wonder what people mean when they say "all this talent".

Sure, some of the player on the roster such as Demarcus Ware are outstanding, but I believe the talent on this roster has been overrated for quite some time.

I will say it again, nobody on this team is afraid of losing their position. Everyone on the roster that gets any significant playing time knows for a fact that no matter how horrible they play or no matter how many boneheaded plays they make, they will always keep their job.

Yeah, thats a huge issue. Something that didnt happen when Jimmy Johnson was here. But since then, not so much.

This team is not that talented.. I think we are pretty overrated. Our o-line sucks ***. I really don't think our secondary is all that talented. The only glimmer of hope i see is Jenkins in the secondary. For some reason when Newman gets his big pay day he forgets how to be a shutdown corner. Our LB situation is decent but can be upgraded. We all know Ware is a franchise player and that Spencer will only get better. Bradie James is overrated. As a leader and football player. Brookings is decent. Bobby Carp needs to not be on this team in 2010. All the other linebackers i haven't seen enough to get a true evaluation on. Our D-line outside of Ratliff is average. MB3 is probably the most overrated player on this club. I love MB3 but he should not be getting paid that money he is making. Our Receivers are fine. I like the potential Austin is showing and i'm seeing Roy and Tony are finally getting that chemistry. Tony Romo is also a franchise QB.

My thoughts exactly. This team has talent. They may not be the most talented but they have as much as many teams around the league who aren't having the annual struggles. There is more than enough talent to win. A good QB will make up for a lot of holes and Dallas has a good QB.

If you are building a team from scratch, you'd have a pretty damn nice set-up with that.

What do teams covet the most? QB, Pass Rusher, CB.

If Jenkins pans out, Dallas will have top players at each position.

Of course, we aren't building a team but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a team with top players at all those positions. There are not many out there, I assure you.

Is this team as talented as it was billed? Nope.

Is this team still talented enough to win and get to the playoffs? Yes.

The disconnect is not in the talent level.

I don't see this team as a playoff team. I'm not saying we need top players at every position. But where are those guys who step up? We will not do anything unless we retool this Offensive line.

They aren't afraid because for three years they've been fed excuses from an enabling owner and head coach. It's okay, there is just a reason why we haven't got over the hump. It isn't you, its some external circumstance. We'll get them next week, next year.

How many drafts have you heard Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips say there just aren't "open positions"? "The roster is set." All the starters are all top notch and we can't get better players and we draft niche players. This past draft was a perfect example.

This past draft was a colossal failure and an indictment on Jerry's ability as a GM. If he could fire himself he would but he's having too much fun playing franchise mode.

Wade must go. He's adequate but will never take the team to the next level. Attitude starts at the top and it shows in tough games. I hope Jerra doesn't put the redheaded boy wonder in charge either. They need a change!

I still go back to when Wade was hired...Everyone was falling over themselves with all the talk about how the D would be 'turned loose' and would be able to get to the QB...Barring one season where pressure was applied (Inconsistently, I believe), QB pressure has been a pretty hard thing to come by for the D.

Mental fortitude plays a big role in kickers, clearly that's also the case with Folk, IMHO...Shame because I like the kicker too...But right now, he's not there

Agree on Barber...But I do think some of it is clearly on the OL too...But, going with Tashard as the starter or Felix, with Barber in as a change of pace back might be a good change.

I kinda got the idea looking at Jones' expresssion that he knew it was over too. He loves Wade, he genuinely likes the guy. I really think he hoped beyond hope that Wade would coach the team up enough to make it a no brainer to bring him back. But this team is the epitome of failure. It's too talented to be this mediocre. The offense and defense are both too inconsistent to keep on with the status quo. Change has gotta come.

1) 3 straight runs from inside the 1, we turn it over on downs. That sums up this entire season IMO. This team just doesnt have the will or desire to be a championship team, and its a direct reflection of the coaching staff. Our OL is the absolute picture of mediocrity. Some people will bash the playcalling, yet earlier in the yr when we didnt run the ball people complained about that. We didnt score because those guys up front failed miserably, period. It had nothing to do with what play was called or who ran it, they just failed.

2) Defensively, there isnt much to say either. Virtually no pressure on the QB, and other than Newman's pick almost no plays on the ball (save one, deflected by an official)...receivers wide open all over..awful tackling (again). And when the game was on the line, with the score tied 10-10, they responded by giving up two length of the field drives that used up most of the 4th qtr. They gave up 153 yds in the last quarter.

3) Not sure whats wrong with Folk...hate to see us cut him, because I really do think he'll work out whatever the issue is. But he is hurting us bad right now.

4) Pretty much time to take away that feature role from MBIII.

5) The image that stands out to me late in the game and the abolute telling thing that Wade is so not the answer. After the defense gets absused the entire 4th qtr, and after the defense lets the other team do just what it wanted (use up most of the qtr and kick a FG to go up by 2 scores) Igor Olshansky takes a bow after stopping a meaningless running play. Folks, that was BEYOND stupid. But its par for the course from the Wade coached team.

6) I know many think Garrett is a lock to be the next HC, and maybe he is. Maybe he'd even be really good at it. I'm not sure he's a lock though. Some stuff has gotta change, and naming someone on the current staff might not bring about enough of it.

7) Game balls...not sure anyone deserves one, maybe Roy Williams, maybe Jenkins...plenty of guys played like crap though

8) Hopefully the reports of Ware being ok are true, I'm guessing even if he's ok he might miss a game or two. Honestly I'd consider shutting him down the rest of the yr anyway. He's been a warrior and has played through alot of stuff, might be best to just let him get well for 2010. Knowing how he is, I'm sure he'll want to play though if its even remotely possible.

9) Punked by Norv again. I think thats 4 straight losses in games where he's been HC or offensive coordinator. He's doing a great job in SD.

Disappointing day, another wasted season seems likely. Too much talent to not be better than this. Hopefully Jones sees the light.

The bottom line is you lost against a superior team, both offensively and defensively. It don't matter what the Cowboys tried to do, we dictated the game both offensively and defensively. And like most championship caliber teams do, we capitilzied on critical mistakes and may key stops when we needed to on defense. (I.E. the goaline stand)

But after evaluating the Cowboys, I do believe your team is still good enough to win your division and make some serious noise in the playoffs.

Good luck against the Saints!

You must be looking in the mirror if you see stupid people, that is the dumbest and most negative post I've read in a long, long time.. But you keep writing, maybe someday, you'll get it right ... :lmao:

I don't necessarily disagree with your analysis of the OP, but I'd wait until after the Philly game for calling out anyone on this.

Especially anyone that remembers how dominant Dallas looked in the win against the 9-0 Colts three years ago.
