Yeah I know, there's 3 games left...yeah I know, we could win 2 of 3 or all 3 and potentially make the playoffs...but no, it aint gonna happen

I kinda got the idea looking at Jones' expresssion that he knew it was over too. He loves Wade, he genuinely likes the guy. I really think he hoped beyond hope that Wade would coach the team up enough to make it a no brainer to bring him back. But this team is the epitome of failure. It's too talented to be this mediocre. The offense and defense are both too inconsistent to keep on with the status quo. Change has gotta come.

1) 3 straight runs from inside the 1, we turn it over on downs. That sums up this entire season IMO. This team just doesnt have the will or desire to be a championship team, and its a direct reflection of the coaching staff. Our OL is the absolute picture of mediocrity. Some people will bash the playcalling, yet earlier in the yr when we didnt run the ball people complained about that. We didnt score because those guys up front failed miserably, period. It had nothing to do with what play was called or who ran it, they just failed.

2) Defensively, there isnt much to say either. Virtually no pressure on the QB, and other than Newman's pick almost no plays on the ball (save one, deflected by an official)...receivers wide open all over..awful tackling (again). And when the game was on the line, with the score tied 10-10, they responded by giving up two length of the field drives that used up most of the 4th qtr. They gave up 153 yds in the last quarter.

3) Not sure whats wrong with Folk...hate to see us cut him, because I really do think he'll work out whatever the issue is. But he is hurting us bad right now.

4) Pretty much time to take away that feature role from MBIII.

5) The image that stands out to me late in the game and the abolute telling thing that Wade is so not the answer. After the defense gets absused the entire 4th qtr, and after the defense lets the other team do just what it wanted (use up most of the qtr and kick a FG to go up by 2 scores) Igor Olshansky takes a bow after stopping a meaningless running play. Folks, that was BEYOND stupid. But its par for the course from the Wade coached team.

6) I know many think Garrett is a lock to be the next HC, and maybe he is. Maybe he'd even be really good at it. I'm not sure he's a lock though. Some stuff has gotta change, and naming someone on the current staff might not bring about enough of it.

7) Game balls...not sure anyone deserves one, maybe Roy Williams, maybe Jenkins...plenty of guys played like crap though

8) Hopefully the reports of Ware being ok are true, I'm guessing even if he's ok he might miss a game or two. Honestly I'd consider shutting him down the rest of the yr anyway. He's been a warrior and has played through alot of stuff, might be best to just let him get well for 2010. Knowing how he is, I'm sure he'll want to play though if its even remotely possible.

9) Punked by Norv again. I think thats 4 straight losses in games where he's been HC or offensive coordinator. He's doing a great job in SD.

Disappointing day, another wasted season seems likely. Too much talent to not be better than this. Hopefully Jones sees the light.

I really, really hated that play. That was almost up there with Antonio Bryant dunking the ball down by 30.

Just lost to one of the best, if not the best team right now in the NFL - while missing one FG and getting stuffed on the 1 yard line - which 99% of the time goes for a TD. A 10 point swing.

He-- no it's not over. Not even close.

Sorry David but you and alot people on this board over estimate the talent on this roster. Too me the roster could use upgrading at all but a handful of positions, starting with the O Line and secondary. I will agree that a soft coach certainly does not help a roster full of soft under achievers. The Folk/ holder issue epitimzes everything that is wrong with this team right now. Nobody ever is held accountable for their short comings.

Great post. Ur usually a perpetual optimist but this game was very winnable and they laid a huge egg.

Every time you think this team has a chip on their shoulder they punk out. Attitude reflects leadership.

Do you guys see how bad the Giants' defense is?

They are terrible.

If the Giants lose next week at Washington, and I think they will, and lose at Minnesota, Dallas only has to win one game to get in at 9-7.

Hope Minnesota doesn't lay down.

Yeah, people are acting like the Giants win out here, but I don't think it's a given that they do that. Although there is a chance that Minnesota isn't playing for anything in the last week of the season so that may be working against us.

I am now sadly going to have to say the defense is not getting it done and that Wade must go :( . It is either him or the personnel but the personnel has changed enough to come to a logical conclusion that it must be Wade.

(I realize it isn't the system, 4-3, 3-4 but it still bothers me to think that we could have had Berry when he was a FA which would have given the team the other End that it desperately needed and would not have had to spend all the draft picks and time for a conversion over to a 3-4 Def that is at best mediocre. I think we have been in this system now 5 if not 6 years...I expected better. Perhaps I shouldn't have but I did.)

The oline at times played well but they were going against some 3rd and 4th string players on the dline for SD they should have played well...but the biggest part of the problem with this team over the years has been just how mentally soft those big guys are on the line...they start of well each year but as the aches and pains pile up these guys can't play through them...they lose focus and fire. I am especially disappointed in BIGG he has done this every year we have had him...He will flat out wiff on a block in crucial situations...Like yesterday on the goalline there were no stunts he just missed his guy and his guy stuffed Barber. There needs to be a change in this oline.

The Dline is suppose to be able to stop the run or funnel the runners into gaps where the Cowboys have defenders but everytime we have a run blitz they get pushed wide leaving too big a gap for the blitzing LB's to cover. Why we can't get this right is a mystery to me but it didn't work at the beginning of this year at Tampa Bay nor did it work 13 weeks later and it didn't work last year or the year before. Yes even Jay gets taken for a ride.

The LB's did okay but you need big plays out of these guys and they just don't deliever.

DB's did well considering how many times they were thrown on but we need to start bumping the WR's at the line insead of giving them a free run so we can give the pass rush a chance to get there...I realize that it is a great risk if they don't get there in time...but we aren't stopping the opposing Offense's in crunch time anyway (atleast not the better offenses in the league)

Tony and the WR's are getting better but I am afraid it won't be in time.

That's fine and all, but what in the last two weeks have you seen that indicate we even if we make the playoffs we are going anywhere past the first round?

Too much talent? Where?Seems like its only in our eyes there is too much talent. REmember Getting Rid of Zimmer was going to make this D better? How did that work out? I remember several fans were happy that Peyton left, since he was wasting the talent on this roster. How is that working so far?

Fans and Media seem to keep buying Cowboys have this talent and is being wasted. Maybe people need to open their and see what this team is about. They have maybe 3-4 great/good players. Rest of them are way overrated.

On top of it, several of them have 10 cent heads. But they can sure talk a good game to media though.

I've got one thing that can turn things around, and I've been saying it before the year started.

Feature Felix Jones.

Feed Felix Jones the bloody football.

It's not hard.

Do it.

Do it on the goalline, too.

He's an inside/outside threat.

10 carries isn't enough.

No designed passes to Felix Jones isn't funny anymore.

Give him 20 carries.

or

Go home losing every single game left.

He probably would get more touches if he'd stop fumbling the ball every 6 or 7 touches.

Sadly I'm going to have to agree. I just don't see us getting it done. I'll watch and root the rest of the way like we might get it done but I'm pretty sure we're not going to at this point.

If Wade goes, who coaches the defense? I'd assume you stick with the 3-4, so the choices for DC are more limited.
