Trolling: ***Post Game Thread***

It doesn't matter who calls the plays when the plays suck. JG's offense needs to be flushed down the toilet. Only time it works is when Romo improvises and plays backyard football.
This so true..I have been saying for a longtime now that this offense doesn't flow as the play is designed,it's more of romo extending the play..that means your guys can't beat the guy across from them consistentl!!

The refs contributed to the loss but the team did it to themselves.

However we don't have a pass rush. Ware is the only weapon. I love Romo, but he was terrible today. Too many mental errors from the same key players since 2008. Our oline should have been completely addressed last year.

Our key players have too many mental errors plus they are getting old.

That spells disaster especially with a weak dline and an average oline.

Wow. Well, I don't know that I agree with *any* of this. Hatcher was a beast out there again today. Selvie generated pressure, too, and so did Spencer in limited snaps. Ware, of course, got his. And Carter had another sack on another inside blitz.
Romo played really well up until the 4th quarter, where, I agree, he was awful. Otherwise, though, people are just expecting way too much from the guy. Especially in that 2nd quarter with the ball on our own 10 and no running game.
Our OL was completely addressed the last three years, and it protected well today.

We've got a lot of good, young players, and I'm not sure what mental errors you're talking about in particular. It was turning the ball over that beat us today. You're going to lose 80% of your NFL games at -2 in the TO differential category.

Our DL was borderline dominating their matchups at times and our OL was better than average against a good defensive team. This was just a close game on the road that we lost. By just about the margin Vegas expected us to do. The only outrage was that 90% of this board (myself included) thought we were going to win this game on the road going in. People are angry because they're disappointed, not because the team actually underachieved.

Bingo.

This offense is about as dull as it gets.

I honestly think they have no identity. They seem to look around the rest of the league and try to implement from all the successful offenses. Bubble screens, pistol formation, redundant emphasis on 2TEs.

They are basically mimicking the rest of the NFL just as they were doing with the Wildcat.

The offense is clearly the weakest unit on the team right now which is a ridiculous thing to say considering that they've dedicated so much to that side of the ball.

We have no run game. None. It's that simple. We cannot run the ball with any success.

NEWS FLASH!!! JG is not a genius. He is not the second coming of Tom Landry.

That drop was painful and he will have to hear about for a few days, unfortunately.

You know what's funny. All off season you hear the team talk about things they will implement and changes they have made that should help them be more successful, offensively. This off season it was getting Romo more involved in game planning, changes in the way plays are called to get plays off quicker, new play caller, etc. Well, I wont hit the panick button for a while, but I must say, the early results do not look too promising. :(

I won't hit the panic button either because my expectations weren't set high enough to warrant any type of panicking. Romo being more involved in the game plan.........I dunno - is that a good thing? I dunno - seriously.

There really are no more excuses for Garrett. It's incessantly frustrating that this team still can't run the ball, and still can't score in the red zone.

Yep............if we dont make the playoffs, Garrett is gone with no questions asked.

No way Jerry can sell this crap to the fans.

After two games you definitely have to question rather thats something they should continue going forward. Hasnt worked thus far.

We're just not that good, guys. We have no run game whatsoever, Romo is a bad game manager, Claiborne is awful, Garrett is not a good coach, and our true colors came out when we forced 0 turnovers all game. Another 8-8 season incoming.

It is the system, not who's calling the plays. We need a whole new approach and a new playbook.

Agreed.........................Garrett's whole philosophy has tainted this team. At lease this will be his last season when we end up 8-8 again.

Some here are so upset because they underestimated KC in the first place.
I recall crazy predictions of underdog Dallas winning 31-10, etc.

I do think Dallas missed a good shot to get a road win here. I thought they'd win a close one.

We'll never know, but I think Romo was in severe pain late in that game. Like in that Detroit game a few years ago when he took the injections pre game but could not take anymore after that, I think it wore off in the second half.

I also think the offense was out coached today.

I am also not going to hit the panic button but this is two weeks in a row where the offense looked crappy. Actually, it hasn't look good since the Saints game last year.

i thought mo played well today... KC wide out didnt do much.

Yeah, I think we did, on both sides today. They were blitzing us like crazy on offense, though, and we didn't have good options when we needed them. I'm not going to blame our trench guys for that.

I'm sort of surprised everyone wasn't in agreement that we controlled the LoS defensively today, frankly. I know it's fashionable to assume we're both thin and weak on the DL, but the first two games certainly haven't shown that to be the case at all.

Your initial reference was to the OL, not the DL. Our OL didn't win the trench war, fashionably or otherwise.

Well, when this team wins, it wins in spite of itself. When it loses, it often times loses because of itself. It's hard enough to win in the NFL. It's a lot harder when you have to constantly overcome self-inflicted wounds. If this trend continues this season, then yeah, JG might be looking for employment else where.

It was. I guess I was understandably confused by what you meant when you asked about 'the trench war.' But I don't agree with you that our OL lost the war today. Our pass protection was pretty good. I think you were seeing the rushes and attributing the pressure they obviously bring with them to the OLs protection in the trenches. The issue with the blitzes was with our hot routes not being productive enough, and with Romo's performance on those two 4th quarter series, not with the OL itself.

Wow!!! What game were you actually watching??? We didn't dominate any facet of that game.

As I said in the chat - watching this team offensively is as boring as it gets. We are so vanilla, so average and so "Romo to Witten for 3 yards" it's maddening. We're an 8-8 team as far as I see it.

I agree Sarge...............this is no playoff team.

At least another season sitting at home come January should be enough to end this terrible Garrett reign.

Turnovers, failing in the RZ and poor running game cost this team. You should win games where you give up 17 points.

We're watching the same team as we watched the last 3 years - with that - we should not expect different results - and I don't.
