Coaches can motivate all they want but the players have to execute. The players didn't execute today. It amazes me that people always point to a coach. They get too much credit and too much blame. The players didn't step up today.

Bum Phillips said the following quote about both Bear Bryant and Don Shula "He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n". That is a coach getting the most out of his players. It is also the complete opposite of Jason Garrett.

In individual games, sure. But over a number of years now, we have seen a team that emulates it's head coach: unprepared, weak-willed, and not in a position to win from a strategic perspective.

He's still got burst. Murray is not a break it open type back. He got a lot of positive yardage today and Sunday. Not sure what you are talking about here.

And I'm not sure what you're seeing . He hasn't been running well at all since the bye. I hope they sign Peterson .

I'm seeing the game. He had over 100 yards and 5 yards a carry on Sunday against the Giants and had 73 tough yards today with the Eagles keying on him. There is no slowing down with Murray. So I'm not sure what you are seeing pessimist.

I'm just not into blaming the coach thing. yet. This is one loss. If we go on some long losing streak or something then that is where the coach gets blamed but today hell no.

Well, we've lost three of our last five. I would imagine our defense will get eaten alive next Thursday by Chicago's big receivers and Forte. I just hope the offense gets its collective heads out of their rectums so we at least compete.

He did have 100 vs the Giants but he should have had another 50-60 in that game. He hasn't been breaking tackles or taking into 2nd gear. Whenever Murray gets the ball there is no threat of him taking it the distance. Behind this OL if we had a truly great back it would be scary .

lol stopped reading after this nonsense.

The thing is we have seen several examples of coaches coming in and turning things around really quickly. Harbaugh is San Fran, Pete Carroll in Seattle, and Chip Kelly in Philly. None of those coaches have or have ever had a QB anywhere near as good as Romo and QB is the most important position. We are almost through 4 1/2 of Jason Garrett and we still have not turned the corner. Coaching has to be taken into account for on field performances especially when you have the luxury of having a franchise QB like Romo.

Well, if you support him on ALL the things he's wrong on which is considerable then fine. Otherwise.....

Just 3 things.

1. Need to get better on o line. Which we did. But then that was pretty obvious. But he did gripe about player draft selections and free agent selections that did not address this more than many posters.

2. A good def line is more important than a good secondary.

3. This team has been over achieving and it won't last.

I also think he has defended Garrett on several occasions too and stated that it's talent and not coaching that is the reason why this team doesn't win. And I have been a supporter of Garrett.

So I guess that's 4 things.

I actually cannot recall any posts regarding his opinion on romo

So we may dis agree there.

This is all I'm going to say.

I'm not ready to push the panic button on the season.

If we had lost to the Giants on Sunday Night and turned around to get beat down by the Eagles, then we'd have every right to push the panic button.

It's not an excuse, but it is reality. The Cowboys had a shorter week than the Eagles. If we take care of business in Chicago, then we have 10 days to prepare for our next business trip to Philadelphia.

Season obviously ain't over, buckle up we are due for some g l o r y h o l e.

How in the hell did we have a shorter week than Philly? We played a few hours later than they did last Sunday, but they had to travel to Dallas. That's just an excuse that doesn't exist. Period.

Played on Sunday Night, their flight got back to Dallas 5ish am. Ain't using it as an excuse. Players aren't either. So calm your tits

A few hours later? Try several hours late and we weren't at home. Philly was at home Sunday afternoon. Philly doesn't have to board a plan at 1am Monday morning and get back after playing a game on Sunday night and add to that a divisional opponent halfway across the country. That is a fact.

Well there are some that feel romo may be a big part of that problem.

The thing is Garrett and romo have pretty much been married to each other for the entire time.

Absolutely! How much time do you give him? If he rights the ship the rest of the way this season and we have at least some success in the playoffs, then I'll be on board for the time being. If we crap the bed the rest of the way and finish with a wimper AGAIN, I see no other choice than to clean house. You don't get a decade like you did in the sixties. It's a results driven business. If we miss the playoffs after a 6-1 start, the coaching staff and the players should have to face the consequences, but you can't get rid of all the players.

Only in your mind. They still had to travel half way across the country as well but only on a different day. The short week excuse is just that. An excuse.

So do you think we would be better of with Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles, or Mark Sanchez? That is what Carroll, Harbaugh, and Kelly have had to work with and all have done better than us. I think we would have been a 3 win or less team with any of them manning our QB position under Garrett.

They can make mistakes, too. You can call a roughing penalty on any play whether it is deserved or not. That wasn't deserved. :)

Even Aikman said it was a penalty. The call was the call, and there's really nothing anyone can do about it other than moan. ;)

Our 3rd down conversion rate has been below 50% for the last 5 games, it's no wonder we are 2-3 in that span. If Jacksonville and NY hadn't been on the schedule what would our record be? The needle isn't heading in the right direction with 4 games left and this team is starting to look familiar....
