Yes, it's funny how Romo is held with such high praise and that some feel Dak couldn't compete with him. Meanwhile Romo had plenty of 3 INT games during his career and there was a narrative for a long time once the calendar turned into December Romo couldn't get it done which many forget. Meanwhile Dak has had 1 3 int career game. Not saying Dak is better, just that Romo put up his share of stinker games and off stretches.

Another false scenario served by media and eaten by casual fans.

But did you know Tony Romo has thrown 34 touchdown passes and only 8 interceptions in 16 December games he started in since 2009? That's just five TDs less than the NFL's golden child, Aaron Rodgers, who has 39 TDs and 8 INTs over the same span.

In fact, over those 16 games (which includes the 2011 game against the Eagles in which he threw just two passes before injuring his throwing hand as well as last year's Commanders game which he finished with a serious back injury) Romo has thrown for 4,342 yards on 359-for-549 passing (65.4%) for a passer rating of 104.1 in December from 2009-2013.

The Packers last night showed everyone how games are finished in the NFL.

We saw how good teams do it. This offense has lots to fix
What did the other 31 teams do.....again, do you think it's easy? Thou shall not covet another man's team

We tend to romanticize the past. Honestly if it wasn’t for his success as a broadcaster I think there’s still a tinge of Romo-negativity left. Once he became America’s lovable play-predicting commentator the nation softened up on him. Man did he used to get bashed back in the day.

Had many middle school/high school arguments defending him

Very true, heavy debate on whether to extend Romo too. The QB always faces the toughest criticism. It's the nature of the position. As fans if there's an INT or a negative play the QB is usually the first to be blamed.

He got that label because of the team not CONSISTENTLY delivering in December and the QB shoulders a lot of that accountability even though that's what the overall stats say. It's a missed throw or turnover here and the QB is remembered for it. Romo was a very good QB, but he was 2-4 in the playoffs and didn't post a winning record in December despite those efforts. Coaching certainly didn't help, but you're what your record says.

The problem is, with Romo our teams would win because of him, these last few games we are winning in spite of Dak. That was never the case. Romo didn't win very many 1 TD 2 INT games. Boy, I wish Parsons could of been here during that 2014 season. That would of changed everything.

blah blah blah always nit picking fans trying to make excuses that all other teams have wins just like that..our looses came when we weren't hot so what i guess we cant count them since we were shorthanded in almost all of them..hobbled zeke no pollard ol in and out yesterday, that not real..ef that noise take that nonsense somewhere else, maybe your FB pals let that go..move on troll....

Ok...our offense runs through the OL and Dak. Our OL isn't opening holes and Dak has been super inconsistent since he got back from the calf injury. Make of it what you will, but this offense is not performing at a high level.

Eh some seasons, but Romo’s most successful years (2007 & 2014) he wasn’t the sole reason or driving force behind those records.

2007 had the #1 defense and 13 pro-bowlers tied for a league record.

2014 had the #1 rushing attack/O-line.

It’s actually quite simple but for some reason very controversial. Other than the top 3-4 QB’s, football teams cannot be carried solely by QB play. There are simply too many moving parts involved in the NFL to rely on one single player to lead you to victory time and time again.

Even elite guys like Wilson, Mahomes, and Allen have had stretches and games where they’ve looked anywhere from bad to average. If your name ain’t Rodgers or Brady good luck doing it yourself. Other than that the remaining 30 starters need some level of support to win big. It’s the nature of the sport and specifically the position.

Tyron, Cedric out vs NYG.

Maybe should sit Zeke too.
