Potential pass rush help

Yeah but they have dummervil there too so thats two DE they have under contract. I was looking at him as a potential situational pass rusher.

I don't think Dummervil can play SOLB in a 34. He's not all that big and he is a much better pass rusher then run stopper. I don't know, we'll see what Baltimore does. Besides, I think that McPhee is a RDE in a 43, not a LDE. We have plenty of guys at RDE. We need an edge guy to play on the left side IMO.

Will be interesting to see our approach for the defense, mostly d-line. Hopefully, we treat the d-line like we did the o-line.

Thats going to be a hard find. Most likely Mincey may have to take over that role if he has not. Mincey turn into beast the last couple of games and the playoffs.

Another guy, George Johnson . He may seem like another prospect for a situational pass rusher...Draft 1 or 2 DT along with those two guys.

1st year as a starter and 1st year in Detroit. I don't really see him commanding big money and I don't see Detroit letting him go either. He put up 6 sacks in his first year for them. I think they might resign him but he's also a possibility.

I think this team might be better of bringing back Melton ( renegotiated) Draft a stud intertior DL. Then find themselves 2 situational pass rushers that can give them 7-8 sacks.

I don't think Melton is coming back. If we are going to bring in another DT, I don't think Melton is the guy. He would cost way to much to keep him. Everybody would love to have Suh (including me) but he might be way over the cap as well. The guy nobody is talking about is Nick Fairley. He's coming off injury and he's an FA this year as well. He is a very interesting DT and he would fit Marinelli's scheme well.

I know he's not a de and I know he's too expensive and has some baggage but I call Suh... He's a beast

I would love to see Suh at DE....kinda like the way Seattle runs there defense......run stopping defense with Reggie White 2.0

Yeah I look at him but I dont think he has been healthy since drafted. The reason why I think brining Melton bacl contract redone is due to the fact he played great when fully healthy.

Why would Melton reduce his contract? He has an option for 9 Million if we keep him. No, I don't think that's going to happen and even if he did, what would he reduce it to, 5 Million? He hasn't produce enough to even pay him that IMO. I like the guy, I'm a huge Texas fan but I don't see it.

I think Fairley has eaten himself out of the league.

We should definitely come away with one of Buffalo's defensive ends. Combine that with Lawrence and Mincey, and we're in a better situation. Maybe Spencer can come back as the 4th end too. We can draft a defensive tackle... That's a good start.

I watch a lot of the Bills games up here in western NY. They have probably the best Dline in football and now that Ryan is going to be the coach, he's going to go to a 3-4. Jerry Hughes is a guy that shows up on sunday. 20 sacks in the last 2 seasons. He's a 4-3 DE and is a FA. Probably not happy about trying to be a OLB. Just saying

Good point. Someone to look into bringing here.

He's the same size he's always been. I think Fairley will be playing for somebody next season.

I actually heard that Nick Farley has slimmed down in size to around 290. That picture is probably an old one which should him overweight.

We don't need any bargains, middle of the pack types, we need studs.

I agree. But Suh may not be realistic. Nick Fairley isn't Suh but he would be a significant upgrade and a nice compliment to Crawford.

Melton's option isn't getting picked up. This will make him a free agent. If he wants to play here, he will have to take a much lower salary. No other teams are going to give him any more money than the Cowboys would.

Or we can always put Lawrence on the leftside DE position. That was his position in Boise St.

I sure was impressed by Brandon Graham in the snaps he did play against Dallas. He's also a RKG.
