These guys are starting to earn more than they contribute. We have up to 9 draft picks and a ton of cap space(up to 40m). Even though some guys are only making 2m or less they can be replaced for a fraction of that.

The only June 1st cut I would make is Carr

Player cut.......Salary Cap Savings
BCarr- 9m
Witten- 4.4m
DFree- 2.5m
Church- 4.2m
McFadden- 2m
Gachkar- 1.3m
Wilcox- 1.6m
TWilliams- 1.6m
TMcClain- 1m
KMoore- 600k
DStreet- 500k

Im good with what Witten, Mcfadden, and Williams make. The rest all make too much. Though I would like to upgrade Mcfadden and Williams

Witten may be a tad overpaid but he's Jason Witten, we aren't in bad enough shape cap wise to cut a team leader.

I am also fine with what Free makes, sure he gets a lot of flack but he wasn't that bad last season. He had a rough start but I hardly remember noticing him as the season progressed, which is a good thing.

Regardless, most off al those players will be in camp and justifiably so. We are not bad enough in cape shape where we just have to cut people for the sake of cutting them. If they lose their spot in camp, good.

Remember that those numbers are the SAVINGS with no dead money*, not their salaries.

* except Carr- he would have 2.7m in dead money

LOL that you have Witten on that list. His leadership alone is worth 5 million a year.

I'm not making a call on Witten, just showing the savings. I would argue that his leadership isn't worth that much. He could always Coach and have a zero salary cap hit.

I do believe in ABC, Always Be Churning. No one should feel secure with their roster spot.

Would they really save 4 Million by cutting Barry Church? Spotrac has the savings as 500K, Over the cap has the 4MM number but they list a much higher salary.

I have to think its the lower number, if it was really a savings of four million I would think we would have seen a lot more media about it.

He had an escalator of 1.5m to jump his salary to 4.25m this year.

At that price I would let him walk. He would be a very good backup/Dime S at a lower price, but I can't see paying him that kind of coin based on last year's performance.

Williams and McFadden shouldn't, and won't, be under any consideration for release. Those guys are excellent deals.

We could get a Weddle or Gipson for that kind of money and move Wilcox to SS or draft one.

I think most GMs would disagree. Both are easily replaceable for a fraction of the cost.

Our RB1 and our WR1 both had 3 TDs last year. Not good enough.

Given the need and the amount of money the team has to spend, I absolutely believe a Safety like Weddle is signed in FA.

Also Byron Jones is so bright that I think he will take a big jump in performance next year when he learns one position (FS) inside out.

No they shouldn't, just a good portion of the people listed don't need to be cut for cap reasons. If we bring another player to camp that is better, replace him. You are right, not many of the guys you listed should feel secure.

You show me skill positions that can successfully score touchdowns with bottom of the league QB play....especially when that wr1 is injured.

I honestly believe we would've scored more touchdowns with Romo and I am sure you would agree with that as well. If you believe that, you must believe that Romo wouldn't have been rushing for those touchdowns. No, McFadden, Bryant, Williams, Bease and Witten would've all benefited from having a QB that can change plays at the line of scrimmage, convert redzone opportunities and keep defenses honest.
