And my point is that they have been using him on the right side and he has played tackle in the past. Sorry if it is too tough for you to understand.
There’s nothing to ‘understand’ at all, other than in your zeal to defend all things Cowboys you bend over backwards to put a round peg in a square hole rather than deal with the fact that backup right tackle looks shaky.

They put Waletzko on IR. That leaves Bass as a right side backup while he is on IR.

Bass is a backup guard.

They could also move Tyron Smith to right tackle like they did last year.
And essentially juggle the entire line again. Not good. Much like Tyron’s play at right tackle.

Now the hard cuts, with Wright/Wally on ir, who do they cut to add Goodwin and a backup Center?
No one for now. Goodwin and the centers are on the PS and will be brought up for games. In Goodwin's case for three games, with two centers on the PS, the team gets six games before it has to make a roster move. By that time, it likely will sort itself out.

So well that the Jets cut him.
Which is why I think he's a guard option and we'd kick Tyler out to LT and Martin out to OT if we lost either of our tackles. We might try Edoga at tackle during a game if there's an injury, but I think once we see him there, we'll go with the other options.

Right tackle is shaky, just like you as a staff member.

Same here. I don’t think much of Edoga at all.

But you see my point. Something happens at right tackle and suddenly they’re juggling guys all over the place.

Add OT Alex Taylor-Prioleau per the Voldemort source (... he said Austin, but he meant Alex).

Well that’s something I guess. I thought he held up better there than Waletsko did.

Well, I don't know if I call moving one player and inserting Edoga juggling guys all over the place. Obviously, you prefer to make one move instead of two, but that's not really too bad and might be better than anything else we could do with any backups we could get. Edoga has some good game footage at guard, even though we didn't get to see what he could do here in the preseason because of injury. (He probably would have just ended up playing LT anyway and we wouldn't know as much as we do now about Richards, who would have gotten fewer snaps.)

Yeah, I'm disappointed we lost Farniok.
It's not so much that we lost him as it is they have not really brought in a suitable replacement. Hoffman would be an immediate point of weakness on the OL and Harlow is a journeyman who could not last on a Giants team that has been trying to upgrade their own OL. Harlow is fodder. Farniok was not be greatest player in the league but I felt if they needed to play him in a pinch he could get the job done. While people are complaining about losing Land who was probably never going to be active for games this year, they left themselves with no real options at C behind Biadasz. They went long on S when they really needed to save a spot for backup C. Maybe they will bring someone else in yet but right now they are very thin on the OL, particularly the C position. And btw, I would have kept Lindstrum over Hoffman.

Voldemort source just posted a story at the Voldemort media outlet on the 15 PS signees.

Good guess is that might be because he doesn't anticipate a 16th for a little bit, and wasn't going to wait.

Harlow, the journeyman we picked up who has accomplished about as much as Hoffman. If Biadasz gets hurt and either has to play, it's not going to be pretty. Best we can say about them is that they can snap the ball.

I'm hoping we already have begun cross-training Bass at center.

He's played in 33 actual NFL games -- 8 as a starter. That's more than what Hoffman has accomplished

I had heard on the Break that Edoga was getting work at tackle in Dallas before he was hurt. And not looking particularly good doing it.

His ‘good guard’ play comes from one game in Atlanta vs the Bears, one of the weakest defensive fronts of 2022. And even then, he was described as acceptable.

I’m OK with backup options virtually anywhere else. But right tackle concerns me.

If Steele goes down in a game; I’d move Tyron over and put Asim in at LT. Not ideal but our options are limited at the moment
