would not surprise me if smith starts the season on the pup list and then by midseason we will finally see him play. just an opinion. I also agree if we see smith early in preseason games he has a great chance of playing on opening day if he does not play until the third or fourth and does not see a lot of snaps then probably starts the season on the pup list. I hope that he plays a lot in preseason.

I think over half of those are Randy Gregory and Rolando McClain.

Count the number of players per team instead the number of games missed and the Cowboys don't look bad.

No, a player must be on PUP before any training camp practices.

Again, I never said he can't be a starter. I said I have doubts he'll develop into a true #1, elite level CB.

I don't see any reason he can't. He appears to have the physical ability.

He went to Purdue so he's likely reasonably intelligent.

Intelligent with 4.35 speed and decent size. I'll take my chances on that; although I agree that he has to prove himself.

He has made comments to the media, got kicked out of a game last season, is now suspended and talking too much on social media

It's not terrible yet, but it seems like he's trending in bad direction.

I did not know that. brown just does not look like he has top speed. hopefully he does not become larry brown and just gave us three years and disappears like he did after the 95 superbowl.

I doubt it. Anthony Brown was our most productive corner last year and will probably be better this year. Like someone mentioned, his best attribute is his speed. 4.35 is nothing to sneeze at.

That's what I'm wondering what people were watching. People will bring up Desean burning him but that was a mental bust, I think he just didn't think Kirk would launch it like that

Jackson did not burn him. It was reading the play wrong. People forget that was a rookie mistake. But in all honesty Brown was our best corner last year and he's only getting started. Did I also mention that he runs a 4.35 in the 40? I think he's our fastest player by far.

I think Nolan Carroll is going to surprise a lot of Cowboys fans. There's a reason we were interested in him before this year. Marinelli believes Carroll is a great fit in his secondary, a better fit than in Philly's secondary.

I'm not too high on Carroll either. But to his defense his faster, quicker and more athletic than Carr.
