I wonder how much is mental. Guys favoring their knees after injury is actually pretty normal, even when physically they're okay.
considering how few observers mentioned It - that might have been the only time he even looked like he might be limping. The mind can do things to the body.

Did I just hear that right? Smith will not participate in contact practice and no foreseeable day to do so in sight?

I never said impossible. But when you look at all the CBs taken in later rounds and see how many develop into elite CBs, that percentage is not very high at all.

Given that Sherman's name was brought up, I think it should be pointed out where he came from.

Brown played some very good football last year, as a rookie. He started 9 games for the team when everyone expected them to be screwed when Claiborne got hurt yet again. Instead he played well and Claiborne wasn't missed. So well in fact, the team didn't want Claiborne back at all.

I'm not going to start selling him short now.

I agree ab PFF.. yet I still like their analysis for what it's worth. But I disagree that it proves little.. it proves that Dallas landed a starter in the 6th round, regardless how good either of us think he is.

Again, I never said he can't be a starter. I said I have doubts he'll develop into a true #1, elite level CB.

I don't think suggesting he'll be a good CB but likely not an elite CB is selling him short.

I think it's a very realistic position on the kid.

but he acknowledges the slight limp which is what most people are saying they saw, me included.

People here act like the only way to be a Cowboys fan is to pretend everything is perfect.

I want to see Jaylon Smith recover and help this defense. A concern or observation that he is limping is not rooting against him.

be a fan, not a sheep.

he said there are times when he seems to have a slight limp. Clearly not all the time and from the wording not even most of the time. then says that he moves like that with an exclamation point. So I really do not see much to be concerned about

Maybe, but it seems like you've gone to lengths to talk him down and minimize his accomplishments as well as his potential ceiling.

I don't see the reason for the pessimism.

Oh, shut your piehole. Lucky Whitehead is a scrub. Those type of players have less margin for error than actual talented players. When you can play, teams will tolerate some high maintenance. If you can't play they won't. Welcome to the real world.

+3 points for utilization of the hilariously colorful terminology "" PIEHOLE""
in a tender and loving manner while engaged in meaningful and worthy conversation.
