Brown is overrated here.

but I looked at Phillie's 2-deep and you are right, they are worse off.
Brown is most certainly not overrated here, imo, Chris.

He had a hell of rookie year, and did remarkably well on the outside given his experience.

He is very physical and covers big guys well. We have a legit prospect/year 2 starter in him, imo.

I expected Green and Cooper to split reps, but am surprised by Brown and Scandrick. I expected one of them to split reps with Carroll instead.
Same. I'm more surprised that OScan is pushing for the outside, tbh. Moreso than Brown. Brown played really well last season on the outside, I'd expect him to improve and further cement his spot. OScan is saying "ney" to that assumption.

I really, really like OScan in the slot, but if he's fighting for that outside position, that says something about his fight and gumption/determination.

I still expect him to end up at the outside spot opposite Brown because I don't think Carroll is as good as either of them at this point. Carroll would then come in on the nickel to play the outside spot while Scandrick slides inside, unless one of the rookies beats out Carroll.

I guess that's part of my surprise with Scandrick and Brown splitting time. I just think Carroll would be the low man on that totem pole.

I was going to mention Jones and Douglas but at best they'd cancel out our additions of Awuzie and Lewis.

My general feeling is that Byron Jones is legit at safety, needs to be more consistent but still happy with him. Heath is a huge issue for me. I really like a lot of our CBs, I just feel they are all # 2 or slot type guys.

I don't get why people don't like Heath. He as more INTs than any DB we have an seems to be in the vicinity of making plays. I think he'll be a valuable part of our defense this year and is an upgrade over Wilcox and Church.

I love both positions splitting reps. Notice that Collins not even being challenged at RT. But to see Brown tryna push O-Scan to the bench and a battle royale for starting LG honors? Beautiful CAMPBATTLES
