Finally...actually football related news. It's like an oasis in the middle of a desert of stupid players making stupid decisions...

relief...

That said, I read the first three words of the first tweet, and my mind was convinced it would read, "Scandrick just blew...out knee."

I've finally been conditioned to be pessimistic.
Sadly, I thought the same thing.

I remember, now, you and I going back and forth on this, Gimme :)

Carroll is absolutely the lowman, and we're wasting (potential rollover) CAP on him. But we needed him when we signed him. So I'll give the FO a pass on that one.

Plus the fact that he was a supposed scheme mismatch in Philly.

Still, surprised to see OScan fighting for that outside position. It's not a bad thing, for sure, and further proves your previous arguments on OScan.

I think Carroll is still good to have since there will likely be a curve for Awusie and Lewis getting up to NFL speed, but I thought we'd see Scandrick and Brown manning the two outside spots at the start of camp. Of course, this is just the first day so a lot can change. I expect Carroll not to be a starter when it's all said and done unless Scandrick or Brown falters. I do expect Carroll to be the third corner on the field for at least the first few games of the season.

I think Nolan Carroll is going to surprise a lot of Cowboys fans. There's a reason we were interested in him before this year. Marinelli believes Carroll is a great fit in his secondary, a better fit than in Philly's secondary.

Marinelli is not infallible.

Carroll is blah. Has been that way for much of his career regardless of the system.
