There's nothing wrong with researching a player after your team signs him, anyway. That's what most fans do. The implication that you're not capable of evaluating a player appropriately once he's already on your team is simply wrong. Sure, some fans struggle with it. But most of us are capable of seeing what we do and don't like about players already on the roster.

Which ought to be obvious to everybody the way a sizable number of posters slag on pretty much every player we've got at one point or another.
