That's interesting. They originally said that he would be a LB in Kiffin's scheme. He appears to have been bypassed at DE by Everett Brown.

Perhaps, but I think it's more due to the fact that Lee and Durant are out, a Holloman is just coming back from injury, and is a rookie who hasn't played much yet.

The injuries on our defense are just unbelievable.

Nope. Par for the course. They seem much more significant because of this organization's inability to find solid depth at any position. Once the starter goes down, you've got nothing but true journeymen to look forward to. This roster is so top heavy, it's not even funny.

He does not appear to have the speed of most LBs in Kiffin's scheme; however, he was more of a coverage player than pass rusher in college.

"Kiffin" and "past this year" do not belong in the same post.

He's a really small DE.
The Weak-side DE can be smallish in this defense.
Wilber 6-4, 250
DWare 6-4, 258

Everett Brown is 6-1, 263 but appears to be much stronger than Wilber. Brown even took some snaps at DT on passing downs. Wilber's biggest issue is that he has no inside counter move. His pass rush is always wide to the outside.

Eh, that was before they ever got on the field. I dont remember him taking any snaps at OLB.

This is really good news about Austin. Terrance Williams has been awful the past three weeks.

Terrance Williams Numbers: 22 Targets 5 catches 118 yards 2 TD 1 INT 5.36 ypa and a passer rating of 60.7.

Even last year's half a hamstring Austin is better then that.

No this isn't par for the course. Look at the Falcons? They went from contender to the worst team in the league. I don't want to give this organization any excuse especially in the injury department but they have truly been hurt at key positions that you just can't afford to be hurt at specifically defensive line and offensive line. No team can literally have their whole defensive line go out to injury and replace them and their backups.

It hasn't been just Terrance. Romo has also been awful. He's been forcing to Terrance even when he has no seperation.

? I don't see the correlation between your reply and my post.

Having said that, I expect him to return next season unless he retires and Marinelli takes over.

It's impossible to evaluate the defensive scheme with the inexperience and/or lack of talent on this defense. On the other hand, it's impossible to ignore the scheme/play calling on offense.

Last years half a hamstring Austin is better than 85 percent of the receivers in the NFL.

In Williams defense though, its not really all his fault that he's caught 5 of 22 targets. If Romo could put the ball somewhere in his vicinity once in awhile that would help, too.
