Doing his best Belichek impression
And that's it from Garrett's presser. I'll use this thread if anything comes out of the practices.
Jason Garrett has made a change to the practice schedule that will allow Tony Romo to get some work with the Cowboys first team offense. In the past the backup has not gotten any work during the week but this year Mark Sanchez received one series of work on Fridays. Now Romo will get more than that behind Dak Prescott.
McFadden was the only Cowboys player that even reacted on that play. He had to defend the best WR in the league with Zero pass rush and Zero Safety help. The best CB in the league probably loses on that snap. If McFadden had won that snap, then they would need to make him the #1 CB on the roster. That's good. McFadden got beaten like a drum on that fake spike
My guess is that he could have played weeks ago if Tyron or Free were out before the game, but that they just want to keep him off of it as long as possible.that's some foot sprain Chaz Green is dealing with.
Anyone who thinks we should count on this guy for ANYTHING other than a "swing" tackle...is not paying attention. He CANNOT hold up for 16 games + playoffs. And I don't think it would be a situation where he would even play 14 games. I see him as a guy who would only play 7 - 9 games. In baseball terms...he is not a starting pitcher...he is a middle reliever who could give you spot duty as a starter..that's some foot sprain Chaz Green is dealing with.
So you feel he could play in a GAME...but he cannot practice? My guess is that he could have played weeks ago if Tyron or Free were out before the game, but that they just want to keep him off of it as long as possible.

It's too bad many around here can't do the same.I think that credit is well deserved throughout this organization in how they've handled this.
From Jerry Jones to Jason Garrett to Tony Romo, all have handled a difficult situation with intelligence, dignity, and respect, and all deserve credit for that.
Any of them could have mishandled this and nobody did. Great job gentlemen!
Bet my lunch menstrual bone injury....that's some foot sprain Chaz Green is dealing with.
