About a week or so until they have to make a call on Jaylon Smith.

That's good. McFadden got beaten like a drum on that fake spike

Actually he was the only guy on the team that reacted to the play. He got beat by the best receiver in football on a perfect throw from Roethlisberger. People are being way too hard on McFadden and way too easy on the rest of the defense for blowing that play.

great news on Oscan. Practicing this early in the week means a good chance he'll play Sunday
Yeah, but he better learn to keep away from Sean Lee. Dude ear-holed him and spun him 180 degrees. Then, later hit him again and put him on the sidelines for the rest of the game. Things are dangerous in the middle with Lee flying around. It could've been worse. He could've been hit by Wilcox. If he gets hit by JJ Wilcox, it's a wrap for the season.

Hasnt Lee taken a few out this season? I have slept since, so I forget

Yes, he got beat. But he did not get fooled like our entire DLine did. At least he attempted to cover. That play should be a good lesson for all concerned going forward.

Scandrick used to be the king of friendly fire injuries.

McFadden can't catch a break this year, first he drops is phone and tumbles, then he is sucking at playing at DB.
He's referring to Leon McFadden who was called up off the practice squad for that game.

I highly doubt that. If Chaz Green wants to be rewarded with a nice contract in two years, he needs to get out there and grab the starting position. If he can beat out Free, the position is his along with a nice raise. Chaz Green flashed for two games and then nothing. Need to show that you can tough it out and play through pain and injury.
He does not make the decision. It is the medical staff and coaching staff together that make those decisions. If Tyron was a backup, he would likely have been out for a few games in order for his back to get better, but because he is a starter, he plays if at all possible.

Green injured his foot early in his last game and continued to play to the end.

So you feel he could play in a GAME...but he cannot practice?
Some injuries get worse with practice and some don't. As long as Tyron/Free are playing there is not a big need for Green. They already have a backup OT on the roster that would finish out a game if Tyron/Free were sidelined. If Tyron/Free were not going to start, then you'll likely see Green practice and play.

Green makes the decision. I assume Green was the one who told the staff his leg hurt so much he can't play. Some players play through pain, some don't. Apparently, Green is one who can't play through this pain. What this pain is only Green knows.
