Game Day Pre-season Cowboys vs Texans Second half game thread

Showers hand off to Jackson goes for nothing.

He might have gotten what he could out of that one. I'd still like to see him show the vision to bounce runs like that all the way back to the open side of the field.

Showers back, gets out the pocket pass is incomplete before going out of bounds.

I know Showers is playing with poorer protection, but he seems to be up and down with his decision-making and throws.

I don't think so. This group is almost non competitive. Every year since we switched defenses the backups are dreadful.

How that can happen I don't know but I am really hoping for a change on defense in the near future.

NFL passing games are predicated on getting the ball out in less than three seconds. It doesn't matter who you have rushing the passer if the quarterback is consistently getting the ball out in less than three seconds. You have to at least challenge short passes.

yea its a challenge for everyone. I just don't like the scheme here and I really feel like whoever is dictating the talent evaluation and what to look for has been awful. I think that is marinelli. great line coach apparent horrendous talent evaluator.

and our Defense is designed in such a way that those short throws will always be there all day.
