Lol, shut up.

Are you his publicist, some sort of diviner or just a fanboy blindly running to your hero's defense?

Instead of some creative interpretation, why don't you just take what he said for face value...

Thanks for playing.

Really? You're trying to start some **** over the intarwebz about a number in question on a message board that discusses a game? Really?

In 1995, Tampa acquired the 12th pick after making a trade with Philly who was originally slotted there due to its record (7-9).

As far as your other statement ("every draft between 06 and 95 except one...was 7-9"), I don't get it?

Your original claim was that most of the teams that had the 12th pick during that time period were 6-10, not 7-9. Further, during the last 21 Drafts, of the teams owning the 12th pick, four were 8-8, five were 6-10 and twelve teams were 7-9.

The point in all this is Hostile claimed this team needed just "3 or 4 wins" to put Dallas in the #12-15 range. History tells us it just ain't gonna happen.

For Dallas to go 7-9 or 8-8, the team is gonna have to go 5-2 or 6-1 down the stretch. I just don't see that happening.

you post all that when the answer you are looking for has already been posted by me

4. Cowboys, 2-7, .546
5. Bengals, 2-7, 552 (vs. Bills)
6. Cardinals, 3-6, .458 (@ Chiefs)
7. 49ers, 3-6, .503 (vs. Buccaneers)
8. Vikings, 3-6, .524 (vs. Packers)
9. Broncos, 3-6, .528 (@ Chargers)
10. Browns, 3-6, .538 (@ Jaguars)

If Dallas wins and teams 5 through 10 lose, we would already be at pick #10. 2 spots from your impossible scenario. Since it is unlikely the Bengals will lose to the Bills, pick 9, 3 from impossible is more likely.
Well, well, well.

Cowboys win.
Bengals lose.
Cardinals lose.
49ers lose.
Vikings lose.
Browns lose.

If the Broncos lose to the Chargers in San Diego it will mean Dallas moves from drafting 4th to 9th. It would be 10th if the Browns Opponent Win % had not taken a huge leap forward this week.

Oh, never mind. I was assured that the above scenario of the Cowboys making it to the 12th to 15th range is impossible.

Um, no.

First, you backtracked off of your "most were 6-10..." claim.

Second, you incorrectly included Tampa Bay as a 6-10 team despite the fact they traded with the Eagles who were originally slotted there at 7-9.

Well, well, well, did the NFL suddenly implement the drafting order after Week 11 of the NFL season?

I look forward to you posting the latest meaningless draft slotting sometime this week.

"The 12th pick is not out of reach. I'll stand on that." Bravo, you should be commended for such a brave, bold and brash prediction.

Excellent, glad to inspire.

It's about time you noticed that just about every draft publication, site, and draftnik is doing the exact same thing and slotting teams already. They have been for weeks and many seasons before this one. Sort of like college football polls in mid season. They have those ya know.

Lol, let me educate you. The difference between the college polling system and what you're talking about is that college teams are continuously ranked week to week; where they are ranked one week is determinative of where they'll likely be ranked the next, so it does matter.

Where Dallas (or name your favorite team) is slotted to pick after Week 10 (with six games to go now...) is absolutely meaningless.

Thanks for playing.

Meaningless to you. The rest of us draftniks are having a blast.

Let me see...in the NCAA polls if you win you may move up, stay the same or go down once in awhile. When you lose you will drop or sometimes stay the same.

In draft order updates when you lose you can move up or stay the same. When you win you can drop or stay the same.

So other than a reverse result from winning or losing how are they different?

Really?

You need me to explain this?

With the "NCAA polls" your wins and losses are judged qualitatively. If LSU beats NW Louisiana Poly Tech by just 3 points, it's not viewed as a good thing. If they beat them by 50 points then it's different.

You are also judged by two seperate rankings who take into account things like quality of opponent and margin of wins/losses.

The Cowboys are not going to be moved up in the draft slotting for beating a quality team like the Giants.

College football rankings are not a simple win/loss record that you seem to think it is.

It has absolutely zero similiarity to how teams get slotted for the draft other than the words "wins and losses," and even then the manner/concept in which those words are used are different.

Do you understand the problem a team like Boise St. is causing right now with the rankings?

Good week for the Cowboys in terms of draft positioning.

Both the Vikings and Browns won which puts them both at 4-7.

After Monday Night's game, either the 49ers or Cardinals will be 4-7 as well.

Buffalo was unable to pull out the win against the Steelers leaving them at 2-9.

We need to cheer for the Broncos to win too.

Yeah Hostile, haven't seen you posting about this thread. I'm guessing you just hope it goes away.....clown.

Ok, so that would leave us with the 6th or 7th pick after this weekend?

FWIW, I think we'll be no worse than the 4-6th pick by the end of Monday night.

Unless the Broncos make a come from behind victory, we'll be currently at the 7th spot.

Carolina (1-10)
Detroit (2-9)
Buffalo (2-9)
Cincy (2-9)

ARZ/SF (3-8) one or the other will be 3-8 and both have a much lower SoS
Denver (3-8)
Dallas (3-8)

I'm guessing you still have hurt feelings after submitting some bad info thinking you were going to pull my card, only to have me correct it for you.
