I don't get the Atlanta love, they have 4 wins which all came from nfc east teams that aren't very good or injury riddled. They needed last minute scores to beat Giants and Philly, overtime to beat Washington. Sorry just don't think they are a lock. Carolina is much better then Atlanta

I know its early, but I know we all have been thinking about what it will take to get into the playoffs.
Lets hear your thoughts, here's mine..

NFC North (1 Team)
GB

NFC South (2 Teams)
CAR
ATL

NFC West (2 Teams)
ARI
SEA

Which in my opinion leaves only 1 out of the East.

I think the only way 2 can come out of the East is if SEA or STL don't get it in.
I can see it coming down to week 17 for that 6th seed.

What are your thoughts?
Again I know its early, but just want to hear.

your just picking the teams in the lead right now.
There are 7 teams at 2-3 , minn is 2-2 NO is 2-4.
So that is 9 teams competing for the last WC slot.
Dallas has 4 games now with cassel, so what happens there is the key to dallas having a chance at a WC.
The Giants have only a 1 game lead, and rest are 2-3 so the div title could go to any of the 4.
It is way too early to say about all this

right now today the pats and packers are the best teams and right now there is a big difference between them and the rest of the league if the playoffs started today they would be in the superbowl hands down. and if it dosnt change and brady and Rodgers stays healthy and the rest of their teams do they will still pretty muchbe the teams .

Best teams at the end of Week 5 rarely are rarely the best teams at the end of the year.

A lot can happen in-between.

The Patriots have a clearer path to the Superbowl.

I'd be surprised if the Packers don't have home-field advantage throughout in the NFC, however, recent history tells us the Packers play just OK at Lambeau in January.

Too early to write anyone off in the East. Wash looks last. I think NY and Dal are the best in the East.

After Dallas' bye week, the WC picture looks like this...
(NFC Division Leaders - Giants 3-2, Panthers 5-0, Packers 6-0, Cardinals 4-2)

Falcons 5-1
Vikings 3-2
If the Eagles win tomorrow, then the Giants will be next at 3-3

Rams 2-3
Cowboys 2-3
Buccaneers 2-3

Saints 2-4
49ers 2-4
Seahawks 2-4
Bears 2-4
Commanders 2-4

Not too bad of a Sunday for Dallas fans... It would have been nice if the Vikings would have lost, but the Bears, Seahawks, and Commanders all lost, which helps a little... I was really surprised to see the Panthers go into Seattle and win, but I still don't think that the Panthers are all that great, I think it shows more just how beatable the Seahawks are right now... I guess I'll be going for the Eagles on MNF...

Atlanta also have a very easy remaining schedule:

@TEN
TB
@SF
IND
MIN
@TB
@CAR
@ JAX
CAR
NO

Such a weak schedule, that's unbelievable. And they started the season off with a bad Eagles team, a decent Giants team, the Cowboys without half their starters, the pathetic Commanders, and a bad Saints team. That schedule has to be one of the easiest in NFL history.

I don't care about the 5-0 record the Panthers have. Sure, you have to play who is on the schedule and they did their job and took care of business, but they played the Buccaneers in week 1 with a below average rookie quarterback making his first NFL start, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Houston Texans, the New Orleans Saints at home with no Drew Brees and a Seattle team that is a shell of what they were the last two years.

The only impressive win they have is the one they got today. It's hard to win in Seattle and they did it.

With that being said, the Panthers have hardly any talent on the outside at wide receiver. Ted Ginn Jr. is a burner but is nothing special. Jerico Cotchery and Corey Brown are hardly anything special at the wide reciever position either. Jonathan Stewart is okay, just like their offensive line is just okay. They have the fewest plays on offense of 20 yards or more in the NFL. Greg Olsen is their big play guy. Ultimatley they seriously lack talent on that side of the ball.

Defensively is where they are good. Their linebackers are really good and CB Josh Norman has had a great year so far. I expect them to come back down to earth eventually. They are 5-0 so they'll probably make the playoffs, but they hardly scare me. I just don't think they have the firepower to make a deep run in December and January.

I hope they beat the Eagles, Giants and Commanders though.

Honestly, Seattle is sucking enough to leave some hope that a wild card could come out of the East. I think we ought to win the East but if not, I still haven't given up hope that we could edge out the West for that 6th seed.

Tried to tell y'all carolina is for real. They are no joke

Tough, all-around team, for sure, despite their limited offensive weapons. I think they had 3 scoring drives over 80 yards against the Hawks and their defense did a great job of bottling up Wilson.

NFC West - Arizona and Seattle (Arizona has not even come close to wrapping that up). Seattle's slow start opens up a wild card and they still have 2 vs Arizona
NFC South - Carolina and maybe Atl
NFC North - Greenbay
NFC East - Dallas or the Giants

Seattle isn't making the playoffs. They're terrible and have a brutal schedule.

Cam Newton is pretty damn good, too. And all this with literally Greg Olson as his only target. Imagine what it'll be like when he gets Kelvin Benjamin back and maybe another top-tier receiving option?

I am starting to come around that Cam is a good QB despite the fact it's rarely pretty with him.
