Game starts out close, tied at halftime 13-13.In the third the Cowboys pull away kicking a FG and scoring a TD on their first 2 possessions and shut the Giants down the rest of the quarter (23-13). The Giants score a TD with 8 minutes to go in the 4th to pull it to within a score (23-20) as all of us Cowboys fans begin to think, oh no not again!!! On 3rd and 6 Dez Bryant catches a slant for the first down and breaks a tackle taking it in for a 65 yard TD. The defense makes a statement by picking off Eli's final throw of the night and the Cowboys come out with their victory formation and take a knee. The defense makes a statement right off the bat letting the Cowboys fans and the rest of the league know things will be different this year by not blowing leads and giving up game winning or tying drives late in the game. Cowboys start the year 1-0 by beating the giants 30-20 behind 121 yards and a TD from DeMarco Murray and 285 yards 2TDs and 0 INTs from Tony Romo. Dez Bryant leads all receivers with 155 yards and a TD while Miles Austin chips in with 88 yards and Witten with 60 yards both getting very crucial first downs during the game. The defense is highlighted by 2 sacks and a FF from Demarcus Ware and 12 Tackles and an INT from Sean Lee. Barry Church also pickes a ball off an nearly returns it for a TD setting up Murray's 3 yard TD run. The defense sacks Eli 5 times hitting him all night long causing 3 TOs. We all get to go to sleep happy on Sunday night.

I hope so. The d Is what im worried about the most. The saints had the worst d for the last few years and they ran a 4-3. That makes me nervous. They gave up the most yards by like 440 per game.

You mean the defense that is thin at the line, one CB and DE who hasn't played and shaken off the rust and questionable safeties?

I hope your right but to overlook the Giants offense would be a mistake. I see a shoot-out coming with us edging out on top by less than a TD.

The defense will take a few games to get into their groove, especially switching schemes.

I am a bit more concerned with the defense at this point, wish I had your optimism

This is what I think. That's why I am starting Romo, Witten and Miles Austin in my fantasy league.

Of course he "can". Anything "can" happen. But history has shown that it's not likely to happen at that point.

I've seen plenty of games where Eli plays like crap down the stretch and the Giants lose, and so have you.

Game is too unpredictable to even remotely guess what the score will be. Opening day is the hardest day to predict, not only this game but across the league. My guess is Romo-Dez for a touchdown or two. Turnovers will probably decide the outcome. I’d feel better if they were playing in NY.

I would take the average of the last 5 games that the Giants have had in our stadium and the average that the Cowboys had in each of those games. I believe that the score shows that the Giants will win. That is if you believe that history repeats itself. However, if we do not have turn overs and the Giants do then I pick the upset and Dallas wins a close one at the end.
