Witten (the silent weapon over preseason) will be the Boys leading receiver in this one since Dez and Austin will command a lot of double coverage. Hopefully Romo won't feel compelled to force the ball and take what they give him. I think the G will out rush us and our rush game will still struggle keeping it close but Romo's arm looks good and he'll manage the game to win it.
We can easily lose this game if special teams gives up a few big plays.

I say we win, and this is not me being a homer..I have no problem with saying if I think the cowboys have no chance in hell at winning.


I think we win 31-17. Their Line Backers are atrocious. Depleted at the safety position and etc. If their front line can get some pressure it'll probably be closer but I still have us winning.

Before the Cowboys played the Bengals in the dress rehearsal, I determined I would base my week one prediction on how well the Cowboys pass protected. If the pass protection was decent against Cincy's strong front four, I said I would pick the Cowboys to win week one by at least two scores. It was decent.

So I'm going with 30-20 Cowboys.

This a conservative prediction on my part. It will end up a comfortable win. I just don't know when it will get comfortable. Given the Giants' injury problems, I wouldn't be a surprised by larger margin of victory -- say, 17 points. But with Spencer's status uncertain, I'll err on the conservative side.

Game starts out close, tied at halftime 13-13.In the third the Cowboys pull away kicking a FG and scoring a TD on their first 2 possessions and shut the Giants down the rest of the quarter (23-13). The Giants score a TD with 8 minutes to go in the 4th to pull it to within a score (23-20) as all of us Cowboys fans begin to think, oh no not again!!! On 3rd and 6 Dez Bryant catches a slant for the first down and breaks a tackle taking it in for a 65 yard TD. The defense makes a statement by picking off Eli's final throw of the night and the Cowboys come out with their victory formation and take a knee. The defense makes a statement right off the bat letting the Cowboys fans and the rest of the league know things will be different this year by not blowing leads and giving up game winning or tying drives late in the game. Cowboys start the year 1-0 by beating the giants 30-20 behind 121 yards and a TD from DeMarco Murray and 285 yards 2TDs and 0 INTs from Tony Romo. Dez Bryant leads all receivers with 155 yards and a TD while Miles Austin chips in with 88 yards and Witten with 60 yards both getting very crucial first downs during the game. The defense is highlighted by 2 sacks and a FF from Demarcus Ware and 12 Tackles and an INT from Sean Lee. Barry Church also pickes a ball off an nearly returns it for a TD setting up Murray's 3 yard TD run. The defense sacks Eli 5 times hitting him all night long causing 3 TOs. We all get to go to sleep happy on Sunday night.

I don't have a clue. You can be confident Dallas will win in a game because they are the fav and they lose and you can think they are so much the underdog until they will be blown away and they win. You haven't followed the Cowboys for a long time if you put your money on them ever. Regardless of their won - loss record, they can beat anybody or lose to anybody. I guess that is what makes them exciting and very frustrating as well.

I'm starting to feel better about this game. I've just listened to their big blue kickoff live show on the giants website and wanted to puke afterward. They believe that they are that much better talent wise than us and the game won't be close.

I'm always uneasy before a game, but their opinion of themselves is really ridiculous.

Sunday night can't get here soon enough!
