8-9 would be a miracle.
6-11 is where Im at.

Some of ya'll need to look at the schedule again.

We might be lucky to win 3 games after the bye week.
Really lucky to win 4 before the bye.

I'm on the 7-10 train and that's what I thought before the Micah trade as well..

I opted for 7-10 given the team will be employing new offensive and defensive schemes; Dak has not played since the middle of last season with no pre-season reps; new players in key positions and history tells us that Dallas won’t be able to run the ball, or stop the run consistently; and they will be amongst the NFL leaders in penalties…again.
I also think Dallas will have a difficulty sweeping the Giants and the Commanders unlike seasons past; so I am looking for a split against our rivals. I’m still thinking Philly will sweep the Cowboys.

I voted 6-11. With our schedule my expectations were low and I was thinking 8 or 9 wins would be it. Now without Parsons and dealing with that adjustment as well as Schotty’s adjustment to being a HC I went with 6-11. I hope I’m wrong.

But for me I’m looking at this season as a soft rebuild and purging of bad contracts and player development. So player development in the DE, RB, CB and QB room is what I want from this season.

The doom and gloom over this trade is real. I still think they win 8 to 10 games, so I chose 9.
I think the trade has put a damper on things but the Giants will be better and we play Philly and Was twice. Not to mention the Lions, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers and Broncos. The schedule is not our friend this year.

Yes, we want to get two First round picks instead of having First round picks that are really second round picks.
This is another incorrect narrative being floated about since the trade was made. We don't know what these picks are yet. Bad teams may want to give up a first the following year to move in the back of the first round to get the 5th year option. They may use the pick at the deadline to acquire a top player. GB may have a catastrophic injury of their own that will see them hit the bottom 12 as they play in a tough division. Let's wait and see before we have a temper tantrum.

I just find it difficult to believe that Dak plays 13 or more games. And winning half of the ones he does play is a tall order given our schedule this year. If we fall to the Giants in Week 2, this thing is going to crater in a hurry. Like last year, it has been mostly negativity for the entire off season. The play calling better be on point. We better win the turnover battle by a large margin. Each year the fans get less and less patient. It's could get very uncomfortable watching this play out from the Owner's suite.

It's not an incorrect narrative, it is the most likely thing to happen. You can pray all you want that GB has a catastrophic injury, but that doesn't make it happen. Then other teams not run by Jerrah build for Depth and injuries don't effect them as much as they would certain cowboys teams of the best, where you had talent, but once someone got injured you didn't have depth behind them, so then it was catastrophic.

Clark is going to be a great addition to the interior DL and that should also help the LBs. Run stopping should improve, yes. He also seems like a solid leader, which is desperately needed on this unit.

But to me, the pass rush has been weakened more than the run defense has been improved. And a good pass rush hides the back of our defense, which is very questionable--at least until Diggs gets up to speed.
Yes, so it comes down to whether we have a ten sack DE on the roster. W/ EZ or Williams, we might. And Fowler is a high level rotational pass rusher.

Being the most likely thing to happen, doesn't mean it will happen. Parsons being traded wasn't the most likely thing to happen. You being mad at the compensation, doesn't change the fact that it's two first round picks. Where those picks end up, likely or not, is still just a projection on everyone's part. Green Bay's record the next 2 years is just a vehicle for fans upset with the trade value to make it sound even worse than what it is.

You can look at a team, and make an educated guess about the value of the picks, when considering their value. When the trade happened there was already a lot of people laughing at us that we basically probably got 2 high second round picks instead of 2 first round picks for the deal, especially considering that the trade will probably immediately improve the Packers. Yes, the packers can fail, and I hope they do, but being realistic they probably going to make a playoff run and we're going to got 9-8 or 8-9. I'll never root against the cowboys come gametime, but obviously we want to have a high draft pick from and add onto that the 2 #1 ones to help rebuild the team, but cowboys tend to over perform when they are bad and get a draft pick that won't make an immediate impact, and those 2 picks from the packers we won't be able to combine for a trade on draft day to move up far enough to make a difference. That is just a perspective given our past.

There is some hope there, I agree. I was a big fan of EZ in the draft.

We traded Micah Parsons. That's why they were laughing at us. We were never getting fair value. But if your skin is so thin that it bothers ypou so much what others are saying, you have bigger problems to deal with. Fact remains the same. It's two first round picks. Nothing you have said has proven otherwise.
