I have it exactly the same as you Hos except for the Superbowl, which will be the Patriots against the Cowboys. I think both NFC higher seeds win in the wildcard round next week as they both have superior teams. Jacksonville is going to be a tough draw for the Patriots in the divisional round.

I actually had the Jaguars beating the Patriots to face the Colts, then changed my mind. I don't think they run the table. I think either the Colts or Chargers will beat them. I went with the Colts simply because they get Harrison back and have enough Offense to match up with them.

In my heart I want another scenario to unfold...but if I was betting money and wasn't a Skins fan... (the Divisional prediction presupposes that TO will be able to play and be effective. We won't be able to play the same kind of in your face defense against Barber and Jones and his threat spreads out the defense)

NFC Wild Card

Washington over Seattle
N.Y. over Tampa Bay

NFC Divisional
Dallas over Washington
New York over Green Bay

NFC Championship
Dallas over New York

AFC Wild Card
San Diego over Tennessee
Jacksonville over Pittsburgh

AFC Divisional
New England over Jacksonville
Indianapolis over San Diego

AFC Championship
New England over Indianapolis (this will be close but NE shows an uncanny ability to throw on the light switch in the clutch and score points like lightning. In fact, Indianapolis is one team they did this too, at Indy. The way they do such is scary.)

Super Bowl
New England over Dallas

I agree that it will be the Cowboys over the Colts in the SB but I think the Patriots will lose to the Jags in the divisional round, ruining their perfect season.

The Jags will have their starters back and will beat the Stealers (minus Parker) in the WC game then move on to play the Patriots in the divisional playoff game in NE. They match up very well with the Pats and will do a good job of controlling the clock and not turning the ball over. They have a balanced attack and can adjust to whatever the weakness is of their opponent.

To me, Maurice Jones-Drew is the key to them beating the Patriots. He is an excellent inside runner as well as a receiving threat on the outside. Taylor gives them a one-two punch and either guy can produce in the running game.

Garrard doesn't make many mistakes and that is what the Patriots have won on, capitalizing on the other team's mistakes late in games. That's what killed us and has killed every good team they have beaten. The Jags don't make mistakes so the Pats won't have anything to capitalize on against them.

Even the weather may play into the Jags' hands. If it is wet or windy, their greater ability to run the ball will make a difference. If the weather is perfect and the Pats can get their passing game into full speed then the Jags will struggle but the game will be outdoors in NE in Jan so the chances are that it will be cold and windy and snow is probable as well.

The Jags' weakness on defense is against the big pass play as they have given up 49 plays over 20 yards (compared to 35 for us). Otherwise, their defense is nearly identical to ours in terms of stats (except in sacks, we have 46 and they have 37). If the Pats start hitting Moss and Welker deep then they will probably win. If not then the Jags should.

I'd be curious to hear why those of you who think Seattle will beat us feel that way when you are thinking that the Giants will beat Tampa on the road.

if the weather is bad in GB and NE, what do people see? I can see it being in JAX's favor, but i'm not sure who of the NFC can beat GB in bad weather? SEA stinks on the road (5 losses) but GB will definitely have the 12th man, and possibly the idea of Favre's last game...?

I had this conversation with a friend of mine. I like the way the Jags matchup with the Pats. Bad weather is just what the doctor ordered for the Jags because they do not rely on the passing game and play good run defense. If the conditions are good then it becomes more difficult for the Jags. I am hoping San Diego beats the Titans and the Jags beat the Steelers so the Jags will get a crack at the Pats.

Well, I see more probable you winning on Seattle than NY doing it on TB...

We played Tampa at Tampa. I wasn't impressed. Turned the ball over 6 times, played the worst first half I've ever seen from this franchise and still nearly beat them. I'd much rather be playing them then Seattle, but the Buffalo loss is biting us in the ***. That game alone would make our first round matchup alot easier as we'd win a tiebreaker with NY for the 5th seed.

Your teams band-aids will fall off eventually.

Come on... you guys celebrated every play like it was the one that won the SB.... you guys arent going that far... wrong mindset.... and some of your players are just dumb as wood. Seriously.

You may be right, and Im not defending the skin, but I see the Giants a lot weakier than them, and the Bucs stronger than the Seahawks...

Seattle is 7-1 at home and plays extremely well in their house. It's loud and very hard to win there.

Mainly because the Giants are a better team than the Commanders (although the Skins are playing well lately). Also, the Bucs are not very good. They play in a very weak division and had a relatively easy schedule. The same can be said of the Seahawks but they are traditionally very tough to beat at home.

So to boil it down, the Giants are better than the Commanders and are playing the weaker team where home field is not much of an issue. The Commanders are playing the tougher of the two teams and in a place where home field is a definite advantage.

Therefore, I pick the Giants to win and the Commanders to lose.

Personally, I would prefer to play the Commanders in the playoffs as we owe them a good playoff beating (being down 0-2 to them) but I don't see that happening this year.

We'll see. I think we'll beat Seattle though, they've beaten what one winning team all year? Admittedly they are tough and don't lose much at home. If we do that we get your guys best shot and no excuses about being uninspired. I feel good about yesterday's game, but its only lukewarm based on the circumstances.
