Yeah that was a nice *cough*cough fumble by Portis yesterday that could have cost you the game if our 2nd and 3rd stringers didnt drop all those balls.... a few for TD's. But lets not talk reality. Back to your world.

Thats funny... "we".... you probably dont know the names of half of the players that have replaced some of your starters and if you do know there names... how do you know what there potential is and if they have reached it? ... probably didnt even know Collins was on the team before Campbell got hurt :laugh2:

I know my team thanks :) I also know that Stephon Heyer, an undrafted free agent...did admirably against Ellis yesterday. I know that Fabini is still garbage but we did run some to the right side yesterday. I know Reed Doughty (a 6th round pick) is playing well. I know we haven't lost a beat with the loss of Carlos Rogers because Smoot has stepped it up. Randall Godfrey and HB Blades are doing the best we can ask of them filling in for McIntosh.

I've stuck with this team and haven't changed colors through the last decade and a half of relative futility. So I do keep an eye on whos playing for us on gameday.

Maybe I wasnt clear...

How could you think that your team has reached its potential when there are players in the lineup that are just playing the last few games.

Its all smoke and mirrors.

The crash back to reality will be hard. Hey... if your happy that you are in the playoffs... then I am happy  :lmao2:

I noticed you didnt repspond to the Portis... cough...

This season has been so unpredictable it is crazy! I wouldn't bet a dollar that the Cowboys won't lose this coming weekend.

It's been an unpredictable season alright, but I'd feel safe betting any amount of money that the Cowboys won't lose this coming weekend. :laugh2:

The Skins are playing much better than the Giants right now, although i was impressed by the effort against the Pats. I'll take both Home teams in the NFC was weekend and Jacksonville on the road.

Ware made a great play. He's a great player. No denying that. I didn't want to believe it for a long time, but I was at the game and kept an eye on him to see how for real he is. He gets very close to the QB even when he doesn't get the sack. Good against the run as well.

I agree that it will be the Cowboys over the Colts in the SB but I think the Patriots will lose to the Jags in the divisional round, ruining their perfect season.

The Jags will have their starters back and will beat the Stealers (minus Parker) in the WC game then move on to play the Patriots in the divisional playoff game in NE. They match up very well with the Pats and will do a good job of controlling the clock and not turning the ball over. They have a balanced attack and can adjust to whatever the weakness is of their opponent.

To me, Maurice Jones-Drew is the key to them beating the Patriots. He is an excellent inside runner as well as a receiving threat on the outside. Taylor gives them a one-two punch and either guy can produce in the running game.

Garrard doesn't make many mistakes and that is what the Patriots have won on, capitalizing on the other team's mistakes late in games. That's what killed us and has killed every good team they have beaten. The Jags don't make mistakes so the Pats won't have anything to capitalize on against them.

Even the weather may play into the Jags' hands. If it is wet or windy, their greater ability to run the ball will make a difference. If the weather is perfect and the Pats can get their passing game into full speed then the Jags will struggle but the game will be outdoors in NE in Jan so the chances are that it will be cold and windy and snow is probable as well.

The Jags' weakness on defense is against the big pass play as they have given up 49 plays over 20 yards (compared to 35 for us). Otherwise, their defense is nearly identical to ours in terms of stats (except in sacks, we have 46 and they have 37). If the Pats start hitting Moss and Welker deep then they will probably win. If not then the Jags should.
Yep, the Jags are perfectly built to beat the Pats.

I hadn't looked into the AFC bracket, but I'm glad the Pats might have to play both Jax and Indy.
