I doubt it very seriously. Taylor is Miami's Emmitt Smith. Strong willed, set in his ways, able to sway others in the locker room. Parcells wants to remove anyone with the credibility to question his methods.
Really Taylor is their Emmitt? Hey what happen to Emmitt when Bill cam to Dallas? Refresh my memory...

Exactly what postion in the 3-4 is Jason Taylor going to play?

OLB?

Isnt that why the Dolphins are trying to get rid of him, because he cant play OLB in the 34?

He also has a HUGE salary.

Dont see this happening.

The huge salary is correct, the other statement is just ignorance. Taylor won DPOY playing OLB/DE in a hybrid 3-4/4-3 defense for Nick Saban.

You know "that" Nick Saban who is part of the Parcells/Belichick coaching tree.

And if Ellis can play OLB in a Parcells 3-4, then so can Taylor, who is worlds more athletic and fluid.

Parcells dosn't like small linebackers, otherwise, that's a great trade der.:p:

If we're running the 4-3, I make that trade in a heartbeat.

But running the 3-4, and being in the position we are right now, NO WAY.
I don't make the trade of a guy who has proven he can play at a probowl level at OLB for a guy who hasn't done it yet.

This trade isn't going to happen anyway, but your statement above is not really true. When Taylor won DPOY with his 13 sacks and 3 INTs or whatever 2 years ago he was playing OLB in a 3-4.

I would think Jason Taylor is going to try his best to stick it to BP... and what BP did to Emmitt, I dont blame him! Sometimes players wanna win... and I'm sure playing with Zach can only be a plus...

If Jimmy would have not been let go Zach and Taylor would have been Cowboys from Day 1!!!

I want Taylor in Dallas, its where he belongs!

 Im hearing thru the grapevine that Taylor wants to be a Cowboy badly, really badly, and BP wants him gone.So I am going on a limb and predicting we get Taylor and drop Ellis.i dont know what to think about it if true.

And I'm predicting that you're a fool.

Why in the world would we drop one, over-the-hill OLB, for another one? Specially when the one we've got is coming off a career year?

Yeah...not likely.

Nice thoughts on Jason Taylor although if anything we all know how Parcells operates and he will wait until near the end of training camp and then trade Taylor.

Some team, most likely a contenter in the NFC will pay dearly (i.e. 1st round choice) to get Taylor especially if that team suffers any injuries in training camp. A trade of Ellis for Taylor, however nice, probably would not happen since Ellis is well versed in the 3-4 and can also play DE in the 3-4, so in reality Miami would get the far better deal and Jerry isn't going to let that happen.

If anything, we will see Miami trade for one of our OG in training camp. Could be McQuistan if he doesn't beat out Kosier, or Kosier if McQuistan beats him out. I believe that Houck is pretty high on the UDFA Hale so it COULD make one of those expendable especially since Miami is looking for a LG.

It would be good if we got him for just a pick if Tuna really wants 2 get rid of him that bad.

These days who doesn't want to be a Cowboy? It seems everyone wants to come here. Taylor can stay in Miami, rather have Ellis.

So there was this snowball and here was hell...

A snowball would last for at least a second, and we know how quickly Jerry can write checks! :laugh2:
