Kansas City will give up a 4th for Glover. The will not want to compete for a contract.

I have a hard time imagining both of those players gone.

Ellis has been the most vocal, but he's also the cheaper one. He also may play a more prominent role since he has shown that he can get to the QB.

Glover, I believe, is the better player. Unfortunately, I don't think he has a long shelf life as a NT. I like him in the rotation, and I like him in the nickle defense, but I wonder if Ratliff or Johnson could do a lot of those same things for a much cheaper price.

I would be willing to bet that at least one of them is gone and maybe even both. I just don't know which one?

Can't Glover play end and also DT when we run the 4-3? I just can't see us getting rid of both Ellis and Glover the same season.

Glover played some DE in our 3-4. Hes a 3 Technique tackle, not really a nose, even in the 4-3.

With a cap figure close to $7mil. I dont think he is going to be around next year either. I just hope we can trade him.

Ellis is much more likely to be here, especially with his production, and his much cap friendlier number. We really only save $1 million by cutting him, so there's almost no point.

Unlikely we can work out a deal for Glover because his signing bonus occurs on the first day trading is allowed. I don't really see the benefit he would get out of a trade. He would be released early by us and could pick the team he would go to and sign a fairly lucrative short-term deal.

Last year was the best time to trade him. He was coming off another Pro Bowl year with 7 sacks and showed no signs of slowing down. This year his play definitely dropped off and he only has one more year left on his contract with an early roster bonus and large salary.

Glover gets cut is the most likely outcome. The second less likely outcome is he restructures with a pay cut and we keep him. The least likely scenario is someone actually gives us something for him in a trade.

I think Glover for a 3rd or 4th is feasible.

Glover for a 3rd would be excellent...I think I would spend that pick on an OL, LB, or FS depending on who is available and our draft status.
