If I had to guess, I'd say that he and Jerry are able to reach some sort of middle ground and he goes to work with the team.

That just makes too much sense if Jerry honestly thinks there's a good chance Terry can still play well.

If it doesn't happen, I think that pretty much means that there wasn't much of a chance Glenn would ever be a game changer again... at least not in the Cowboys minds.

Glenn will swallow his pride, come to his senses, and sign the waiver and report.

Glenn doesn't have much choice. Other teams(Clev?) will offer him the vet min with the same waiver.

I bet he won't sign and will be released tomorrow before the flight leaves for CA.

That's just crazy... no other team is going to take a flyer on him with his recent knee history... I vote he stays... It's just not in his best interest to not sign it... He will want to get paid, therefore I say he signs it and becomes part of the TC crew

I don't know. I'm tired of the saga and like him a lot.

well, I think that the saga part is more the press. It seems like there is simply no motivation for this deal to go down before the start of TC.

He is not worth all of the drama, sign him or let him go. I would rather them let him go, let some others step up.

I think TG is fine. When I hear his teammates and coaches talk about how hard he's worked and then the reports of him playing racquet ball just blew me away. Racquet is not a sport you want to play if you're not confident about your knee holding up. I think TG knee is gonna be just fine....

No, it isn't just the media. Last year I spent the entire season getting excited about when he would be back and how much sizzle the Offense would have and then the sizzle was a fizzle.

I wondered about the racketball as well...Planting your knee over and over pretty much is a part of the game in racketball...And as competitive as TG is, I doubt he was slacking either.

Strange...Then again, not a lot of hitting going on in racketball as I recall :D

Its not the hitting that I'm worried about, its the cuttin, stoppin, going, twisting, and planting that concerns me. TG can take a hit and if you mean hit on the knee, well I don't know if too many healthy knees can handle that. You're right tho, playing racquet is very impressive.

I agree it is all the other things that a WR has to be able to do and do them over the course of a season. I would love to have a healthy Glenn back on the team but I'm concerned this will end up being a week to week situation of not knowing if he can play or not.

For some reason I don't think this thing gets resolved for a few weeks.

Jerry's comments the other day made me think he could care less about resolving the matter because it's not like Terry Glenn would be going thru the two-a-days with his knee anyway.

I also think I could care less if he comes back or not at this point.

Yeah you might be right but on the flip side, if he starts practicing with the team on a regular basis that talk will go away with each week passing.. It could work that way as well. Hopefully!!!

He is hard headed......and I agree.....would be surprised if he signs.

And that's really the thing here, TG marches to the beat of his own drummer if history is any evidence.

A lot of other players, perhaps you could tell how this plays out but with TG it's unpredictable.

I honestly don't see TG making good on calling Jerry's bluff...I think it's his way or the highway and the 'smart' thing for all involved would be for him to sign it but I still can't imagine him being a reliable 2nd WR this season

I would love to have Glenn back but given his condition is considered degenerative that really becomes a big concern and why the Cowboys are looking to protect themselves.

If the Organization felt strongly about Glenn ability to play with this injury I don't think we would be seeing this turn into an issue.

In the end if Glenn is with us I'll be cheering and hoping for the best but if the Cowboys move on without him I fully understand their reasoning behind it.

i think you hit the nail on the head with the bold blue part above....they must have serious doubts about that knee because the money involved isnt enough for Mr. Jones to usually fuss over. like him, love him or hate him JJ
does not let the dollars mess up his team.

Two weeks ago Stephen Jones was optimistic something could be done and indicated some flexibility.

Oh I agree with JJ, he needs to sign the split contract. Especially after he recieved 5mil last year.

How ever this ends up I hope the best for Glenn. He has been a good player for us and what ever happens I wish him the best.
